Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 4 - The Aftermath

That is an amazing tip about the sealant. Thanks f0xh0les.
Not sure if I'll get round to it today but I have a boy in the house so may need to make it a priority. Will also do that round the sunken sink.
My body feels as though I'm at least a hundred years old - even my fingers are aching this morning. I think that's quite enough activity in the short term (apart from my daily walks). I have two quite deep cuts on my hands in silly places from doing the floor yesterday which are a bit sore this morning as well. I did have a soak in the bath last night though. I can't believe how much difference a new floor has made. And it's nice floor that feels quite warm under your feet.
As seems to happen every day I've woken up lacking in motivation. One cup of tea down and just sitting here waiting to feel better. For someone that has slept 8 hours I'm quite yawny. Plans for today include to tidy the kitchen which suddenly looks as though a small device has been detonated in there, and find a recipe for banana bread or something as I have 3 almost black bananas in the kitchen which I'm determined not to waste. Other than that, just see what the day brings.

Thanks for that Trix-a-belle - you reminded me how much I love anything nutty so I went on a hunt. I've ended up with a banana, peanut butter and coconut concoction, which unfortunately has a little too much baking powder in it because I just get a bit of an aftertaste of it. However, it's good enough and I will certainly eat it. The kids were never going to eat it... it has fruit and nuts in it for a start.
Not the most productive of days today but I'll allow myself that. Got out for my walk with dd - turns out we had run out of bread and milk yet again, and even though I've been lucky enough to bag a click and collect slot at Mr T for tomorrow night it wasn't going to wait. So we went on our walk via Bee Emm, where I was also lucky enough to be able to pick up some sandpaper. Not to get excited but I found some exterior gloss paint while I was putting stuff away yesterday and our outside window sills are fairly desperate. It shouldn't take anywhere near as long as the bathroom and hopefully will make a difference. However, that's going to wait until the weather is nicer again.
Apart from the bread and the walk/shopping I just about managed to do a load of washing and empty the recycling. Had a Z00m meeting with work - not a work meeting, just a catch up with some of the rest of the department, which was lovely. Finished watching Save Me Too on box sets and have been doing a lot of crochet today. I'm testing a pattern for a friend so I don't want to fall behind if I can help it. Feels like I've been quite lazy considering I slept ok - but I'm just going to ride through these days when they happen... I think we're still going to be in this situation for a while yet.

Oh dear - I have lost my mojo a little bit. I wasn't feeling the love yesterday, and it hasn't come back today either. I wonder if I'm feeling a little hormonal or something. I just feel a bit 'meh' all of a sudden over the past couple of days. I was up and about early yesterday - I'd been planning a walk in my head for days but hadn't acted on it at all until yesterday when I decided I would just do it. It was a bit longer than I thought - 4 miles and I was about 10 minutes over the allotted hour
but I didn't see many people and I certainly didn't get close to anyone. I thought that would be me raring to go for the day but I sat down and couldn't be bothered with anything... just sitting staring at the telly. Couldn't be bothered with crochet, work or anything else. I did the bare minimum (rubbish, recycling, washing up, load of washing) and then sat in the garden with the kids, cats and a good book. Ventured out to Mr T at 6pm for my click and collect slot - just 1 substitution so that should be us for the rest of the month apart from the bread, milk and golden freezer food top ups which I can do in walking distance from home. Don't think the car is doing too well not doing its usual 25 miles a day. I live on a hill and being parked on a slant left the brakes a bit creaky until I'd driven a bit, and one of my window washer jets has just stopped working altogether (think a trapped air bubble). May need to make sure I take it round the block at least once a week just to keep it going.
I slept awfully last night - woke up at half past three and just couldn't get back to sleep. It was about half five when I dozed over again, but only until 7. So I'm a bit headachey and still unmotivated again today. I have made myself shower and get dressed though so not too much to worry about. I've fed the cats, done the litter and hung a load of washing out to dry. I've also decided to do a free online course about literacy in science (mainly because I can sit on my bum and not do anything, but it should also help me become a better teacher). I will make sure that I get out for my walk today - I need to drop something off at my sister's house so have a reason to get out, but other than that I'm afraid I think I'm having another day off - and I'm completely blaming it on my hormones.

I think there's an element of resettling yourself at points during this lockdown. Certainly amongst my friends there seems to be a loose pattern of starting off feeling at a loose end, then a plan for keeping things the same as near to normal, then trying to use the time to achieve new projects/stuff put off for years, then the weather got better and people seemed to just want to relax a bit, and this week I've noticed a lot of us feeling at a bit of a loose end again. I suspect it might all change again after an announcement on the extension is made.
In my opinion, you're doing well. You've got up and had a shower, rubbish and recycling done, food provided and some personal work development too - excellent.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

I am having nightmares and vivid dreams, every night, I wake up about 3.30 thinking - what the ? was that all about?? Sometimes I can get back to sleep, other times I just look at the ceiling until 'getting up time'. All the housework is getting done, everyone is getting fed, but there is not much going on between my ears, and my brain is acting out when I am asleep. Let's face it, this situation is just bizarre.
