Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 4 - The Aftermath

Morning all
It's very grey here today so I think that I'll be walking in a much quieter environment when I go out (hoping to do that fairly soon whilst I still have a little motivation).
Slept well and woke to the dulcet tones of NT1 being sick at the top of the stairs. She has a digestive disorder and can't eat biscuits - she will show disapproval for whatever food she decides she doesn't like by eating biscuits and then being sick until I give her meat that she wants to eat. Clearly wasn't fussed about fish flavoured Wh1skas... I think she's holding out for the little gold tins that she loves so much that I can't get my hands on at the moment.
Is today the day I do some painting??? It's definitely not an outdoors kind of day, but it's also not late enough in the day for me to feel like doing anythingAt the minute I still just want to go back to sleep... I got the paint and brushes out last night in order to try and kick my backside this morning but it hasn't worked so far.
I really haven't got anything else to report at all. Life goes on as always, thankfully.

Deep breath and a drum roll please......
I have done 2 - yes 2 - coats of gloss in the bathroom. Well, I say gloss, and thought I'd ordered gloss but it was actually Satin. Skirtings look fine with 2 coats but the door still looks patchy. I'm hoping it dries beautifully overnight but won't hold my breath - I'll see if it needs a third coat in the morning. Then walls, then new floor. Then it might become a room that I don't hate being in all of the time - you never know.
As well as that I went walking for an hour with dd this afternoon while I was waiting for the first coat to dry. I'm definitely getting fitter - I didn't feel like dying walking up the massive hill and was quite happy to be out for an hour as well. I really hope that walking is something that I can maintain once this is all over and life goes back to being completely manic. I keep thinking that I must be able to find an hour a day somewhere... We didn't see anyone else at all while we were out which was a bit unusual because the place we went is a popular dog walking spot. I can only assume it was because it was over lunchtime and the weather was a bit grey and miserable.
DD got hoovering duty and ds was forced to clean kitchen surfaces while I was working upstairs. What an awful mother I am. DD also recorded her French speaking thing to send to her teacher, and ds has spent a disgusting amount of time online again. I have done nothing work related but it is still very much the Easter holidays so I don't have to. There's plenty I could do if I wanted to - but I don't want to.
NSD as nothing essential needed. Even though we have run out of frozen cheese bites which is essential to ds. I don't know how to please that child - there's plenty of chicken and potato products in the freezer. Doesn't he understand the meaning of global pandemic? He's forced me to understand the life and times of Van Gogh...

Well done on the painting & fitness walk, CCL....... but I've got to ask...... what the flippin' 'eck is a "frozen cheese bite"? I might never have eaten breaded chicken, but I have a fair idea of what it is. I can only imagine what might be in a "frozen cheese bite", lol.

Her0n sells them. It is basically a small sphere of cheese (popcorn size) covered in herbed breadcrumbs. I think they are leftover from the golden arches - Her0n sell a lot of stuff like that, unlabelled and no fancy packaging but very well priced and as ds is a worshipper of the golden food I can't usually go wrong there. Not giving up

Sounds like you have got loads done with the garden and the bathroom well done. Can I just be really bossy for a moment please and this really is meant with the best of intentions. Please please don’t ever let DD (or anyone) mow the lawn just in socks. It is so easy to accidentally run over your own feet with the lawnmower. As a NHS worker who has worked for orthopaedics I do know how often it happens and honestly it isn’t something anyone wants to happen!! Bossiness over! Glad you are getting some exercise and getting to spend quality time with DD and DS xxslowly working towards being MF one small over payment at a time :T12

I know where everyone was while you were out walking ccl. They were queuing round the block at every food shop all day long until gone 7pm. I gave up in disgust - I was not joining a queue of 50+ at that time of night. Managed to get to Herr A and Herr L but the empty shelves were back again and salad veg was just not possible. It is enough to make a nun curse. The bathroom sounds like it is coming along nicely, and well done on getting out walking again - how many days is that in a row? You are doing much better than I am. Well done you. I should take a leaf out of your book.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

As someone that doesn't mow the lawn very often, running over my own feet with a lawnmower is exactly the kind of thing I could see myself doing, although I am surprised to hear that it's a thing.

I didn't go walking yesterday f0xh0les...
but I did get the exercise ring closed with extensive lawn mowing.
Other than that I've been every day for the past 18 days now.
