Great news CCL, and I really hope that the rest of the process goes as cheaply and easily as it possibly can for you - you deserve it, after all the carp you have had to put up with!

  • Fabulous news! So pleased for you and your children:j:j
  • Is there anything in the order about Money he owes you or is it a clean break and your (undoubtedly better) pension is the 'up' side for you and you have to 'suck up' the present day expenses for future security?

There are a few different court orders money-wise. One to say that he owes me the cost of the divorce, and one to say that he owes me the cost of the last three court dates and process server fees. And there is a separate court order for over a thousand pounds worth of child maintenance. Unfortunately nothing about the £3k I lent him before things went sour but the fact that I have the house and the pension kind of makes up for it. As he has no job and no real home I am unlikely to ever see any money from him anyway - I suspect he might even end up going bankrupt once he gets himself together. Who knows?

Cheers every single one of you that have supported me on here through the end of the marriage, the separation and the horrible mess that has been Fexit. I had no idea there were so many of you lurking on here as well. I am honoured that you take the time to read my mindless ramblings. I'm off to bed now, and I really hope I manage a decent sleep tonight. Fingers crossed.
