Well done for speaking to the drs again, and so glad you got someone who would listen to you and not automatically blame everything on your weight. We all know it affects us but its not always the reason for every little issue we have. And now you have a plan to go forwardMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Awww, that sounds so much more positive, CCL. My sis started WW this year & has lost 9lbs already.... & unlike my 'Traffic Light' plan (Judith Wills), she seems to be allowed the occasional biscuit, as long as it's within her daily points allowance! Remember to set achievable goals...
1st half stone, 1st stone, etc, rather than a big scary 'I need to lose x stones'. Also, something I found very motivating..... every so often, pile books or food cans into a bag totalling the amount you have lost & walk around the house with it. Honestly, it's eye-opening. By the time I'd got to 4 stones, I couldn't lift the bags, yet had been dragging that weight round every day at work. No wonder I always used to feel knackered by the end of the week. Even a small amount, say 6lbs, is still 3 whole bags of sugar & we'd know about it if we'd got all those to carry in our shopping, wouldn't we?
Hope the mini-pill helps regulate things too. At last a helpful conversation & some things to try. Go you!

Pleased you managed to speak to a Doctor and they took you seriously 🤗
I too need to lose some weight, @foxgloves thank you for your suggestion regarding the bag of lost weight and trying to carry that around. If I ever manage to shift any I will try this out periodically to remind myself of the progress I have made.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Wow- that`s amazing news and well done for ringing them in the first place. To get a doctor who listened is fantastic and I`m hoping she would have listened even without your impressive CV and science background!
Could you write down all the positives you`ve achieved even in the short time we`ve `known` you?
The list is endless...you could keep it to hand to remind you of how far you`ve come when you are assailed by self doubt @ silly o`clock!
I know I`m speaking for your other groupies who could reel off all the things you`ve done to support your lovely family..
Totally impressed at your knocking down another skittle!13 -
Hurrah 😁! Well done.11

Morning all
I need you lot behind me all of the time, just chivvying me along and reminding me to focus on the good things I do and the progress I've made rather than continually focussing on all of the negatives. I'm very good at remembering times I've done things wrong, forgotten something, upset someone etc. but less good at remembering the positives. I suppose I am good at getting stuff done.
DD got a message from school yesterday saying that a pupil in the school had nominated her as a 'wellness warrior' - I am always very proud of her anyway, but I am especially proud that someone has recognised her as someone they can talk to and trust and someone that helps their mental health. Apparently there is a letter and a gift on the way from school - we'll expect that in a couple of weeks as the post is so slow at the moment. I'm chuffed to bits that she's so hard working, caring and well rounded.
I have been productive but am still lacking a bit in my motivation today. It's raining outside and it's cold and grey and I don't want to do anything. I have been sitting on my bum for a while hoping I'll suddenly get a burst of energy but nothing has happened yet. All of my school work and marking is up to date, my mam's jumper is looking at me wishing I would just get on and do it and I really need to go for a walk as I didn't bother yesterday. As we all know - the hardest part is just starting something so I will make myself do something(after I've had another cup of tea) just to get started. I have a long list today - cleaning is still being neglected, and I am starting to make plans on putting the home office away (fold up table that we use as a desk to work on when working from home).
Let's see how much I can get done before I next check in.Not giving up
