Morning all and Happy New Year!!!!
Hope that you had a good one, and are feeling ok this morning. Here's hoping that 2021 is a better year for everyone.
I'm doing ok this morning considering how much I drank last night - I was expecting a much larger hangover as punishment for mixing what I had in the house (cider, bucks fizz and chocolate liqueur - stayed off the high alcohol stuff).
I'm not sure where to start with today really. I got up, fed the cats, cleared the litter trays, peeled more potatoes (kids have demanded roast potatoes part 2). I have more exam work to do, and have had confirmation that I need to go into work on Monday so at least I know what's going on there and can prepare for that. It's an inset day so I'll find out what's happening the rest of the week (as much as school knows anyway). I'm also scarily close to finishing off my latest crochet blanket.
I'm still in my jammies and I need a shower but can't be bothered with that just yet. Because I am lazy.
I am thinking that New Year is all about grand gestures and fresh starts but things are far more likely to stick if it's small, manageable changes. As always, I need to sort my finances and lose weight - I need to do something different though because everything else that I've done so far isn't working. Haven't come up with a plan of action yet, but I have a budget, a diary and good intentions. Let's see how long it lasts this time round.
Right - I'm going to get on and make a start because I feel lazy sitting here and doing nothing. Starting with a shower.
I will check in later. Promise. Not giving up

Shower and into clean jammies - check.
Christmas tree down and packed away - check.
NSD - check.
Ate well - check (ish - still eating leftovers but only ate when I was hungry).
Stayed hydrated - check.
Bathing of NT2's acne - check. Who the hell knew that a cat could get acne? I learned something new yesterday...
Crochet blanket - not finished but further on than I was.
Kitchen tidied - check.
Exam stuff - not yet. I'd lost a day - I thought my meeting was tomorrow, but it's Sunday so I'm waiting until tomorrow to do the prep for it. I haven't been fully hungover today, but tired and definitely not 100%, so a good night's sleep tonight and then onwards tomorrow. On the plus side - I have spent much of today thinking it's Saturday - so it's good news that I have one more day than I thought I did before school starts again. I'm dreading having to record lessons to put online for the next couple of weeks. Ugh.
Productive day considering I've been a bit worse for wear for all of it.Not giving up
