Eeps - how is it December already? What has happened to 2020? 
I was all excited this morning because someone bought me the Draper tools advent calendar... and behind door 1 was a little tool box to store all of the tools to come over the next 23 days. I feel truly spoilt by my work friends, which is good because I am now starting to feel a bit lonely being on my own and responsible for everything. Probably just tiredness and lack of time off - someone told me it was time to start dating, but the thought of that properly freaks me out. I'm just too introverted and physically unattractive, and too easily upset for all of that rubbish. And of course too busy. Think I have to get on to loving myself before I go looking for someone else etc.
Thirteen more school days after today - and I cannot wait. The weekend of exam stuff has been really busy but thankfully I'm just about on top of everything so that's good news. Even managed to do 3 loads of washing and hoover through. Asked the kids to help but they are clearly feeling as knackered as I am at the moment, plus dd is so stressed about going to school in Year 11 during a pandemic. I don't get much help any more at all. Meh.
Gosh, aren't I a proper little ray of sunshine at the moment? All doom and gloom and misery. And now for something nice - massive thanks jan and foxgloves for the recipe ideas. Hopefully I'll be able to find some time before Christmas and have some nice goodies ready to gift to people.
Tree is up. The baby (kitten) keeps having a chew of it, or a play with the jingly bells. It's quite cute to see. That makes me feel happy, plus I watched my first festive film of the season last week.

The world is very busy at the moment and as always I'm finding that there aren't enough hours in the day to do what I need to do still. 7 more school get ups until the hols, if we make it that far. We're missing a lot of year 10 and most of year 11 at the moment due to COVID. My dd was sent home from school at the end of last week to isolate, and half of my son's year is also out now (not him much to his utter disgust though). On top of that, 4 of the SLT are isolating, plus my head of department and the other second in the department, so I've inadvertently been left in charge of 12 others here (which to be fair are mostly supply anyway).
On top of that, exam work plods on and deadlines are looming. As is Christmas, with no money. 
School has literally just finished and I have meetings from now until 5pm so I'd best be getting on with that.
Just wanted to check in and let you know that I'm still alive and plodding my way through.

7 more school get ups, 6 year groups shrinking, 5 stars for yooooooou..... 4 SLT isolating, 3 french knickers (?), two kids at home, and a CCL in charge of the department!    Chin up CCL, the end is in sight.  You can do this.

How can they possibly refuse you a pay rise after this last year?  They can't. End of. You rock.
