Thought I was going to get caught up in the local NE lockdown, but Teesside hasn't been included.
Agree with you that non of it makes any sense. I'd love to know exactly who is advising them!! Some highly educated idiot with no common sense by the sound of it.

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

Oh no, so sorry, I would not wish the 'Residents Only' both inside and outside the house on anyone, and I have been living with it since May. They have now decided to ban people from all our local parks from 5pm - 7am, so that is going to upset the dog walkers! Stupid curfew.Every interview you do, you learn something that will never throw you again in an interview. It is a learning experience, and the only way to get better at them is to keep doing them. I am not putting my pom poms away just yet.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening
Not going to lie - I'm finding it a bit of a struggle being back at work. I can see over 1000 kids a day but not my bestie, or my mam or sister. My mental health is genuinely going to suffer if they keep up with this for much longer. I feel like I'm doing an awful job because I can't get round the class to see if they're working and understanding, and they can't do practical, and I have mixed ability classes which are hard work. I am so lucky in that I consider the other teachers in my department to be my friends so I can have a bit of a catch up with them when I'm in work - although there may well be a stop put to that very soon as well.
Then on top of that I'm expected to keep an eye on health and welfare, deliver my lessons as well as putting them all online for those that are isolating. It's just such a massive change - I don't cope well with change at the best of times but this is a lot of change, and I don't feel like I enjoy my job much any more. I spoke to the Head about it today and he's as fantastic as he always is - truth is that being a teacher has never been just 'being a teacher' and it's even worse than ever at the moment. I just keep hoping that it won't be this way for much longer and things get a bit more normal really soon.
Spent most of the weekend in front of box sets with dd - it was her birthday yesterday. How on Earth did I get old enough to have a 16 year old? Not fair! I've found it difficult to get going in the mornings now that it's a bit dark when I want to get up, and I really struggled this morning because I didn't much fancy going into work either. I've spent all day yawning and moaning today - then left work as early as I possibly could to get home and rest. I'm already in my nightie and it's not even 5pm. Two cups of tea down, stir fry for dinner and then heading off to do some crochet. It's the only way that I feel properly relaxed at the moment. I never have much of a life outside work, but I always quite liked being there. Not so any more. I know I'm not the only one who feels like it but there's nothing anyone can do other than learn not to vote this bunch of incompetents in again. Not that many will learn.
No word about the job interview - thanks for all your positive words but I'm really not hopeful. I actually wonder if I'm a bit hormonal at the moment because everything feels wrong and I feel a bit hopeless about life in general. That's probably part of it.Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Oh that is 'Sick-of-the-bloody-pandemic-itis' with a big side order of hormones, if you ask me, CCL. It has been mis-handled from the very beginning & that has made everything worse. Unfortunately, there is nothing any of us can do about it other than endeavour to keep ourselves & our loved ones as safe as possible & to balance out at least some of the crap stuff by trying still to do some of the things we enjoy. It won't last forever. It will pass & some of the vaccines sound quite well advanced. We just have to stick it out. It hasn't helped that Johnson said things like 'We'll see it off in 12 weeks' & 'We could see some normality at Christmas', etc. Too much mixed messaging playing right into the hands of those who don't think national rules apply to them.
We just have to keep going & try to feel grateful for the positive things we do have (I know you know that)
