My sister had her baby :D so we're heading down at the weekend to meet her. Have used some of the money I'd put aside for going away next weekend to book a hotel room, was only £35 :). Still have £15 left of that money plus £13.20 in the social fund and £49ish left in the grocery budget so will use that for petrol and any food spends over the weekend.

I bought my sis a present plus birthday presents for my mum and friend for £49.50 so have also got £30.50 left from what I'd budgeted for presents. I still need to get my mum a wee something else and wanted to get another present for my niece but hoping there will be some money left over to put towards presents next month as OH, my brother and my SIL all have birthdays in February.

    I get paid on Monday - £1727.37
    - £950 usual bills
    - £150 car
    - £220 food
    - £100 presents
    - £100 for weekend away
    - £100 petrol
    - £20 home
    - £20 car fund
    - £20 emergency fund
    - £47.37 debt

Money saved from any budgets/money made from surveys and 2nd job will be split 25% debt, 25% car fund, 25% emergency fund and 25% holiday fund.
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £46.47/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £625.98

Oh new baby cuddles at the weekend, how lovely! Congrats to all.

You are doing so well, 35.1% is a great achievement considering what you have been through recently.
    Enjoy your weekend :-)

Thank you, I needed that reminder :). I've been feeling a little frustrated at how slowly the credit card debt is coming down especially when it's such a low balance. However, now that I feel better and can do overtime, it will start come down quicker.

Yesterday was a spend day as I got my eyebrows done (£16) and bought a few food items and bleach (£5.98). This included picking up some ys almond croissants and pain au chocolats. Had a croissant for breakfast and the rest are in the freezer for a later date :)

Have got a colleague's leaving do tonight so will put £10 into a collection for his present leaving £20.50 in that budget. A colleague is giving me a lift in and back saving me money on bus fare/parking and I'm not drinking due to driving down to Edinburgh early tomorrow so will be a cheap night out.

Today I've been to the tip with several items and currently just finishing up a long walk. OH opted not to come and I'm actually kinda glad as it's very rare that I get time completely alone so enjoyed the peace, quiet and my thoughts :D.

Considering everything I think you are doing really well. You seem to have a good balance, paying the bills, saving towards the extras AND reducing the debt. Its coming down steadily and WILL be gone in the not too distant future.

In the meantime you have mastered the art of staying on top of it all. Those habits will stay with you and stand you in good stead. That is the aim of the game :-)
Still quietly cheering you on from the sidelines !

Oops meant to come back the day after payday to post spends :o

    Monday
    - £3.55 posting my friends present
    - £43.90 present for OH's birthday
    - £25.94 petrol
    - £24 paint
    - £24.44 food shopping inc toilet roll

Tuesday and Wednesday were NSDs :D

Today I spent £13.61 on some food shopping which was a few bits for OH over the weekend while I'm away and various ys bakery stuff that has gone in the freezer - must not buy any more as there's still ys croissants and pain au chocolats in the freezer which I bought last week.

I got 52p cashback and 17p interest added to my bank account so that has been paid off the debt :D

This evening I'm flying to Bristol to see some friends for the weekend :) Really looking forward to it, have £100 budgeted for it and hopefully will come back with a bit. Have downloaded some books and magazines to my tablet and will take some snacks with me to stop me buying anything at the airport, well maybe a coffee :)

Need to get a few toiletries today plus a bottle of something to give to the friend I'm staying with.
