Yesterday I went to the gym in the morning then walked into town to get new hair straighteners as mine had died. Got a bargain as they were reduced to £35.99 from £79.99 and then I had a £10 gift voucher from Christmas so only had to pay £25.99
Used the £22.51 leftover from Christmas clothes money and £3.48 from the food budget so now have £28.38 left.
Sat and watched both rugby games in the afternoon and then films with OH at night. Plan for this morning is to have a walk along the beach and go to one of the cafes along the front for a bacon roll and coffee. I'll go the gym at some point in the afternoon, either before or after the rugby. Roast chicken dinner planned for tonight.
Will phone my gran later and see if she wants to do something tomorrow. I know she was looking forward to getting out when my parents were up so will see what she wants to do. If she does want to go out somewhere, then I'll definitely need to put petrol in my car but if not, I may be able to scrap through to payday. Don't mind putting petrol in my car though if it means my gran can have a nice day out.
Budget for Thursday's pay is almost done, just need to finalise a couple of things and will get it posted either later today or tomorrow.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Payday today! Paid my friend the £60 I owe her for theatre tickets, moved money to various pots and paid the credit card - it's now sitting at 12.5% paid.
Still have £12.41 left of the food budget but will need to get milk tomorrow, will check if we need anything else.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Ended up spending £5.41 on food on Friday so will pay the leftover £7 to the credit card
This is the first month for ages that not only have we stuck to the months food budget but also haven't done a food shop right at the end of the month with next month's budget so very happy with this.
We spent the day with my dad and gran yesterday and went out for lunch. I had to fill up with petrol on the way back from lunch and my lovely dad insisted on paying for itI'll keep the same amount in my petrol budget though as we're planning 2 weekends away this month, 1 to see OH's family and 1 to see my sister and niece.
Got an email from the electricity company (the one we left and have now rejoined) to say that I would be getting a refund of £120.38Once it hits my account, I will put £20 to the holiday fund (towards our weekends away) and keep the rest until I know what the final bill is for the electricity company we have just left. Anything left after that is paid will go to the credit card.
Up early today to do my wee shift for 2nd job. Then back home for a few hours to get showered, food and organised to do a late shift at my work.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

paid the £2 bank account reward to it today so now at 14% paid.
Money hit my account today from the electricity company which was really quick so put £20 into the holiday fund. I then paid £63 for a hotel for our weekend away later on this month. There's now only £17.50 left in the holiday fund so better start putting some more money in there!
Spent £23.63 on food shopping today. Took the afternoon off work which was lovely. Went to the gym then watched a film with OH.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Lovely to watch the % paid going up and the card balance reducing.
You are doing so well :-)

NSDs yesterday and today, meal planning is continuing to go well which is cutting down on additional shops. Will need bread and milk tomorrow or Friday but other than that, we won't need to go shopping until Sunday or Monday.
Just realised I've been a total idiot and paid council tax in February so only had 1 free month this timereally annoyed with myself as that money could have gone towards the debt or car fund. Ah well it's done now and it means council tax for next year should be reduced.

Shame about the council tax, but look at the upside, if you are going to make a mistake its better to know you have overpaid (which will give a reduction on future payments) than find that you unexpectedly owe them something which would have to be found.
Have you considered paying it by D/D ? That way they take what is due and if its a 'free' month they just don't take it.1
