    They will work without the app. After charging , I'd say the best thing to do is to make sure you make your Bluetooth discoverable on your Mac , pair it with your headphones and away you go . I doubt the app would work on your Mac ( although I could be wrong )
    When you do get your smartphone, then go to either google or App Store and download it from there .  I don't know if you have Alexa or anything like that . Anyway enjoy DIA 😼

    Thanks AC :) Bluetooth has been enabled and headphones picked it up no problem. Then the voice in the headphones said download the app (and there are no other instructions only safety info in the bumph) My next step will be to charge and then I'll see if it is still saying download the app. Leaving it for now as don't want to get stressed so will stick to doing it in stages. It does have Alexa or something but I wouldn't want it so won't enable that bit if at all possible...
