Yesterday I had to shop for groceries. Lots of queuing in the sunshine. Went to 4 shops (so 4 queues) looking for eggs and of course got them in the last shop. Cycled, so tired when I got in. Pleased with myself for putting crisps back and taking cherries as a treat instead.
I am doing lots of furniture moving and I usually do that when unsettled, so guess that's what I am, unsettled.
Money wise. I notice I am spending on my CC. I am paying the balance off in full at the agreed date but I am spending money my future self needs so I am going to stop doing that unless it is essential. I want to get back to if I can't afford it from current cashflow I can't have it.
In other news I am going to 5:2 it as I can't face the full on BSD. Starting tomorrow. Will meal plan today. How good would it be to emerge healthier from this lockdown...
My day today will include the usual (cleaning, decluttering, organising, working, cooking) New will be a few things to keep up my appearance. Feet and eyebrows get the treatment today
Things I should do but don't fancy so I won't...facing up to finances and putting plans in place, gardening, froggy phone calls. Tomorrow for those I think...

Wow! Those headphone arrived quickly !🎧
They will work without the app. After charging , I'd say the best thing to do is to make sure you make your Bluetooth discoverable on your Mac , pair it with your headphones and away you go . I doubt the app would work on your Mac ( although I could be wrong )
When you do get your smartphone, then go to either google or App Store and download it from there . I don't know if you have Alexa or anything like that . Anyway enjoy DIA 😼4 -
Thanks AC
Bluetooth has been enabled and headphones picked it up no problem. Then the voice in the headphones said download the app (and there are no other instructions only safety info in the bumph) My next step will be to charge and then I'll see if it is still saying download the app. Leaving it for now as don't want to get stressed so will stick to doing it in stages. It does have Alexa or something but I wouldn't want it so won't enable that bit if at all possible...

I am going back to basics and keeping it simple with a high protein no carb breakfast so 2 boiled eggs take 160 calories (rounding up) of my 800 cals. I want to get used to this being my default breakfast most days. I find it easier/better to introduce new habits rather than dieting, so concentrating on that generally as well as doing 5:2. So, also low carb and eating within restricted hours will be my way forward. Basically doing what I know has been proven to improve my blood sugar, general health and most importantly lose some weight.
I am going to start writing down everything I eat so I can see what worked/didn't work.
Making a froggy call today as still not sorted BB costs.
Today will involve lots of work to keep my mind off food! I hope to chalk up several hours.
I find the late afternoon good for exercise so will do at least an hour's gardening after 5pm.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and safe day.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

You're still in abundance of positivity DIA 😼
just take everything in your stride , and whatever you haven't done don't dwell on it too much as you know everything will get done a lot sooner than you realise .The diary is a great idea imho. Going back to the mid 2000's I was seeing a personal trainer ( cheap and cheerful ) and as well as doing what I as told , I was advised to start a diary and that helped a lot . What you'll probably find , is that when this all blows over and you're back restarting your life the weight will drop off due to your lifestyle which is well disciplined . Don't beat yourself up if you have the odd day off here and there. Life is for living etc.Hope the headphones are working out for you 🎧
Have a great sunny day 🌝😼6 -
Sounds like you're off to a flying start. I also tend to garden late afternoonAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Finally called the BB provider and now saving £10 a month. I did find a deal elsewhere £2 a month cheaper but did not want the hassle and feared losing connection even for a few hours. Anyway, that frog has now been eaten
Other good news the gardeners say they can come tomorrow. I've done a fair bit anyway but shrubs need cutting low and I can't do that. Also front garden not started so their input very welcome. I then intend to make 4pm my time for sitting in the garden with a cup of tea and making a catchup call to a friend.
I've managed to eat in line with my plan.

That sounds like great progress DIA, and well done on eating a frog.
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
