Anyway I'll be able to brave the shops again in five days. I think small hit and runs on shops are more successful than big shops at the moment.

Luckily I do have boxes of tissues. I will go out loo roll hunting in a few days late at night (fewer people) to the local Mr T express of metro or whatever. When I can get the bike done it will be easier to shop.
HairyHandofDartmoor I hope your shop comes without too many cancellations. I have a shop delivery on Wednesday and hoping there aren't too many cancellations.

I managed X3 gardening slots, so that's an hour gardening. Not too shabby

I wouldn't have a problem with that AC, but kitchen roll is also on my list of stuff I've been unable to get!

Just spoke to the bike repair shop. Going to put it in tomorrow and pay by CC. I can repay the card in full when the bill comes. I'm uncomfortable using credit but the bike will be so useful for shopping and exercise, especially if I am to start shopping at night...

be careful DIA - some of the shops have started closing a bit earlier - our local tesco now shuts at 10 instead of 11.

As far as I'm aware you are not supposed to use kitchen roll down the toilet.  It has plastic in it which isn't biodegradable, and help to create those enormous fat mountains that block the sewers.... use newspaper.

Kitchen roll shouldn't be flushed use it and put it in the bin. Same as moist toilet wipes.

Hope you managed to get some toilet roll. I am so grateful for my refusal to ever run short. Husbands always laughing because we always have loads in. Not laughing now! 😂

I'm hoping neither newspaper nor kitchen roll become part of my reality when going to the toilet. Still have some toilet paper left so fingers crossed!

Re. Toilet roll - hope it never gets to the point using squares of newspaper like years ago!🤭
