Thanks @savingholmes and @MovingForwards.
I can now move out ASAP as I have had some good news. My relative who I care for sometimes is staying with another relative so she can be cared for 24 hours. She has just offered me her home. She does not want any money, but I will of course pay her, but it will be nowhere near the sort of money I would have to pay for a self contained home. that's a real win. personally I agree I would offer to pay but I wouldn't insist on paying - sometimes people just want to be helpful. You are after all doing her a favour as well. I was looking at FB and there was an equivalent caring offer, where the elderly occupier paid £100 to the organiser and the younger "minder/carer" paid £200 for living in. With WFH that could be combined into a very nice little way of lifeI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Wow! Great news . 👏👏😺
Sorry that your relative is still ill. You will always be there for her , but sometimes in life everything is for a reason and you deserve al good things coming your way .6 -
Thanks @another_casualty yes I am really pleased and relieved too. I feel I can relax now and knowing I will not have to share my space or rent somewhere that would eat into my capital means I can take my time finding somewhere just right.
Thanks @savingholmes I could stay for several months at least. The great thing is if I found somewhere I would not have to serve out the contract as I would if I privately rented.
Thanks @mark55man You make a good point. If I were paying someone for whom money was not an issue I would accept graciously, but the person concerned would benefit from a few hundred pounds. (Edited as I said too much in my excitement)
I feel so relieved I must have been more worried about the situation than I thought! If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hi that's great news DIA.
That is certainly a win win for you both, I am sure your relative is very pleased to know the home will not be empty and also takes a worry away from them.
