Today I decluttered all my toiletries. I have thrown some away and now I can see all I have as they are all spread out on a shelf so I will use what I have instead of buying more.
Today has been a NSD.
I have set myself a budget of £200 for all spending on travel, fun and food for January. I have £187 left. It looks like we are about to be shut down further so it should be easy to stay in budget, as long as I don’t start treating myself with food, or buying on the internet…
I chased my solicitor as I was worried it had gone quiet on the house selling front, but all is well! The other party is still there and eager. Lots of questions to answer and warranties to find. I found the warranties for the windows and the gas boiler installation warranties too, so off to a good start. I will prioritise the remainder of the queries tomorrow and get it all posted by the end of the day.
I needed to return an item to MnS but it was so dark, wet and cold today I could not face it. I will get up and go straight away in the morning. I will...
I seem to be addicted to soup at the moment. A good addiction…Soup tonight again...:)
Hope everyone is ok (ish) and ready to take on 2021

I love soup too - a real winter stay at home treat. May I recommend coq-a-leekie one pot with chicken thighs
https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/!!!!!!-a-leekie_soup_03663
some people say you should fry the chicken first for flavour, but I find that discolors the soup - with rice and carrot and leek its well balanced and very warming and a pot will last a few days (unless in my household, where its lucky to last any length).
EDIT I'm afraid the link won't work as attached you just need to replace the !!!! with the english variant of coq - sorry

It all sounds good with the house sale . Tbh, I think that the lockdown will be until March at the earliest . This is just my opinion as I probably mentioned about my college course being postponed until late March .
Not sure when you would want to exchange contracts due to everything gloomy at the moment , but if your buyer is not pushy for completion then that may work in your favour .You are organised as ever , and starting the year well..7 -
Thanks @mark55man I looked up that soup. I've heard of it but never tried it. I will try it.
Thanks @another_casualty you make a good point about the completion during lockdown. Ill see what my buyer thinks...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

My OH finds the bone-in thighs best for flavour (esp if not frying first), but a little fiddly stripping them when serving, but nothing too onerous (I normally volunteer, but I am a bit of a scavenger!!). I like it with a little salt, but your taste buds will be the guide for youI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
