Thanks everyone
Yesterday I ended up staying in and just resting Thanks @another_casualty and @moneyonmymindsam for the prompt there
Today I forced myself out for a cycle. Glad I did. Sun shining a little. Got tyres pumped and ordered a small part for the bike. I've stopped having coffee at home and now it is a treat if I am out. The little coffee shop I like was open for take-out coffee. I enjoyed it.
My joints were slightly better. My attention to diet is paying off. I weighed myself. If I can lose another half stone before Christmas I will be at my lowest weight in 6 years. It feels achievable...
Then to Lid1 for fruit and veggie shop. Good news was one of there fruit and veg box for £1.50 (blueberries, strawberries, onions, mushrooms, pears, carrots, swede and a bag of apples. A few of the apples a bit bruised but great for chopping up to go in yoghurt. Picked other veggies too as making soup.
Feeling a bit more confident about the house sale but I'm wondering if I will get the house for me. The small houses are too small. I hadn't realised Victorian cottages are tiny! Town houses too big and obviously pricier. One thing for sure it isn't downsizing as prices similar to where I live now! I'm now considering a much more modern house. In the right location but I would have to say goodbye to my dream of a wood burning stove...the search continues...
Hey ho, off to make soup.
Hope you are all having a good day.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

All sounding good DIA .The weight loss is great . I'd say , don't put pressure on the xmas target as you'll get there anyway and knowing you you'll be doing lots and it'll probably happen without you realising .Regarding your new home , you may find that a few properties will appear after xmas and once you have reached the finishing line in terms of your sale going through you'll know the next step to take .I like your approach about the coffee also ☕️😼5

I must have looked at a million properties (well, hundreds online and about 40 from the outside, then 10 actual viewings), and I fell a little bit in love with most of them. In the end, I made a list of what I liked least about the house I then owned, and a wish list of what I'd like ideally in the new one. The one I'm buying (fingers crossed) meets about 7 out of 10 of the criteria, but I knew as soon as I walked through the door it was the one I really wanted. Like @another_casualty says, I'm sure you'll know the next step to take when it comes!6

You will know when you go through the door of a home whether it's for you , you get the feeling. I knew when I came through the door in my flat even though it's rented that it was for me . You are right to take your time to get it just right.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.6

I know what you mean @Sunshine_girl2 I am sure I will know when the house that is right for me appears. It's starting to feel like a love match where the chemistry has to be right
I have a fantasy of sitting by a wood burning stove with a glass of very cold champagne. I'm not ready to give up on that just yet
Thanks @Forging_Ahead Good point re checking a house out from the outside. I've seen a few that look ideal, but on closer inspection they are next to a petrol station or a pub. I hope I find my new home soon as you have.
Thanks @another_casualty you are probably right, the Christmas deadline isn't necessary. What would I do without your posts! Fingers crossed for my new home materialising soon...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Today my energy has been low, it has to be said.
Other people on here seem low too and one regular on MSE (LL) has taken herself off the forum for good...
I had a bath and washed my hair to give myself a boost. Not sure it worked.
I've eaten leftovers all day but will do a shopping list and get out nice and early tomorrow.
Binned garden items. When the/If the house survey comes back and if the buyer is happy, I will arrange for the council to pick up my lawnmower. It has a dull blade and is old. It isn't something I plan to store.
Looked on R1ghtm0ve a hundred times. Nothing...
This is a boring post, even to me who wrote it. Hey ho...
Wishing you all a positive weekend.

Sorry to hear you feeling low at the moment DIA .The thing to remember is that you are going through one of the most stressful periods of a lifetime , by relocating etc
You obviously will be on edge until you cross the finish line .Don't forget that you are doing all and sundry on top of that .
Oh, don't forget COVID !You have time on your side to finish all that needs to be done imho.I'd say have look after yourself , including the odd coffee here and there ☕️.Sorry to hear that LL is feeling down also . Is this lesson learned ? If so , it's very surprising as she seems to be made of strong stuff and from what I remember she has a lot going for her .
There are other posters who quit mse because of the fiddly , buggy new look. Purple mum of 2 and harz.Anyway I'll leave it there ..5 -
Sorry to hear you are a little low DIA, hope you have found something to soothe you and are feeling a bit brighter.Re looking at houses from the outside, remember you can do this with Streetview. It doesn't quite give you the feel of the real thing, but can help to exclude the ones by a pub, car park etc.RB xxDebt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress
