Just had a phone call from the EA to agree which buyer to go with. Chose the no chain FTB.
He wants to be in by January so is choosing to go in-house with the EA surveyor to speed things up. He is being given 10 days to get the survey done. Other potential buyers to be contacted and told to check back in 10 days. I have been updated twice this week and will be updated at the end of the day too. All good so far...
I'm cancelling my trip to the other area this week. Nothing much appeals in my price range so not worth wasting the fares. Going back to thinking I probably won't find a house to buy and may need to rent for a while...
Today I am off to JL to make a purchase with a friend before lockdown. I could do it online but I want advice and their advisers are good (although not as good as they used to be)
OK, off to make a cup of tea, make some breakfast and check in with the US election.
Have a good day everyone.

@beanielou Yes it seems to be going fast although the EA said he would call yesterday and did not, so will be chasing today. Chase, chase, chase, seems to be what is required to get this through (and even then there is no guarantee) Still, it has to be done...
@Seasidegal58 and @another_casualty the gallery exhibition was such a nice treat.
I did not go out to JL with my friend yesterday. I thought it might be a bit much on the last day before a lockdown and looking at the news in the evening I was right! My purchase can wait.
Today I am cleaning/decluttering under the stairs. Everything gets thrown under there so it might take some time.
It is cold but not wet so I will take a walk or cycle at some stage.

Great stuff DIA
The things to remember are that you have probably more time to do the necessary dribs and drabs to your home , plus email is probably the way to go with the selling of your house . Things will probably drag on a bit due to the new lockdown , but hang in there .
( I said probably a lot there 😸)6
