Today has been quiet. Phone calls, cooking, cleaning, decluttering. I thought I would be caring for my relative but she is back in hospital and is now in a high dependency unit. Hoping she will be back soon. 

No houses new on the market today. That said, I'm starting to appreciate this longer wait as I now know exactly what I want. I also researched floods as I vaguely remembered the banks of the river bursting. I was right. It was 20 years ago and again in the 1950s. Flood defences costing millions have been built but I am going to be buying high up and on roads that have never been flood affected. 

Under the stairs still has not been done. I know, I know...

I can't remember off the top of my head whether I mentioned this in my first diary, but have you thought of phoning the estate agents directly giving your details etc. ?

I did that and got lots of contact . The only other thing to do is wait unfortunately .
Then again, first  things first . Sell your home , and something will come when the time is right .

The decluttering never stops and I find the "do I want to take this to the new house" a good question to ask when decluttering.

Thanks @another_casualty my relative is out of danger now. The 2 main EAs in the new area have my details. 
I can't wait until my house is sold to find a new one as I will have nowhere to live whilst I am looking. Plan A is to find a new place now if at all possible...

A flat few days, no motivation. It feels like constant drudge. It is even struggle to get up in the morning (not like me) But today I had call from my relative who is out of danger and that perked me up.

House news
I have instructed my solicitor to prepare contracts. Their firm is being taken over (probably having to merge to survive) Chased the time of my survey next week twice today. Got the answer in the end. Potential buyer had to contact the BS. Discovered they will do the survey as a 'drive-by' never heard of this before...

Frog
Spoke to my neighbour who will be loaning me his folding ladder so I can access boxes in the loft tomorrow. Dusty, dirty loft. Not looking forward to it but will do it. 

Soup prepped ready to be made tomorrow. An upward swing always starts with making soup for me...

Drive by valuations are quite common these covid days.
they will look at the photos on the sales details, look at others locally that have sold and check that its standing and has a roof 😄

Good news about your relative DIA .
You're in that zone now where you'll be unsettled and worn out at times .
You're handling everything well , but don't forget the obvious ..that house selling /buying is the main  reason that you are unsettled and out of sorts until all is done . 

Keep plodding ..but don't forget to step back now and again .
