I've been wrapping a blanket over my legs as I work from home, as I often sit at the table next to the patio doors which are quite cold. Fortunately none of that shows when on video-conferenceI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Sorry to hear about your neighbour DIA. I hope you mean the dogs are locked in and someone is coming to feed and exercise them - if not, another call to the RSPCA or non emergency police would be in order.I hope you love your slippers as much as I love my wool blankets - absolutely worth the cost difference, they feel completely different to manmade fabrics and are much warmer (as well as being British wool so no plastics and less transport costs - more eco friendly too for production as well as saving on heating!).RB xxDebt free May 2016... Feel sorry for the dogs 🐕🐕. The other neighbours might get angry if the poor dogs are in distress . Hopefully the RSPCA will pull their finger out . They do have a bad reputation with things like this .I hope the Kyle family behave while they are there . Hopefully , they may not be around much , with viewings going on in your home. It does sound like they would be the type to take what they can get , have arguments about sentimental things they think they are entitled to and probably end up selling the house , and disappear .
I hope the rest of the weekend , and the upcoming week goes well for you .
Staying over, while viewing your potential new house is a good idea imho.I'll leave it there..6 -
Thanks AC
To be honest the dogs are not walked often anyway. The RSPCA said it wasn't a priority as long as they were fed and walked and the 'new owners' have agreed to do so. Sad as the dogs were his wife's and adored then she died and they have not been well looked after since. I offered to walk them but the man who died turned me down. Sad. I hope they get nice new homes.
The relief is all viewings were done before this happened.
Funnily enough a friend actually asked if she could come and do some viewings with me. It is a drive out for her. I thought of you doing viewings with your friend and said yes! So I have company on one of the days. She likes a drink so I see a few glasses of wine somewhere along the line
You are right they may well sell and disappear. The house is a bungalow and they appeal more to older people.
Just posted on the waiting to exchange website as I have heard nothing for 2.5 weeks. Normal maybe?
The neighbour's death has left me feeling unsettled.
My relative has been taken into A and E too but is expected to be home tomorrow after a transfusion.
Will channel the edginess into getting the house cleaned up instead of talking about it!
Have a good day everyone

Fingers crossed for your relative DIA 🤞.That's the thing about house buying and selling . Anxiety levels shoot up , as everything is out of your hands . It's down to surveys, solicitors and mortgage approvals. Plus strange questions out of the blue which you may/ may not be able to answer .
Annoying as it may be , I'd say just focus on all the other tasks and expect contact at random and probably inconvenient times . It's like the old days pre track and trace, when you wait all day for a delivery that doesn't arrive when it should . Something like that .
Anyway , hang in there and things should be fine ..6 -
Another here wishing positive thoughts for your relative. 🤞
Good to hear you'll have some company on your viewings. When I was looking to buy my current home I had a couple of friends who would come and look at potential flats with me. They both lived in the area for some time and one had bought and sold a few properties there over the years. They were worth their weight in gold in pointing out and noticing various things that I missed! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Hope all goes well for your relative DIA.Also agree good to have a friend with you - I wish I had been able to bring some of mine but I did a lot of viewings in various stages of lockdown. One has still been very helpful even just with photos and video - I asked the agent if I could take more photos and video for discussion with friends and they were fine about it.RB xxDebt free May 2016...
