Wednesday, my meals are healthy, it's just the rubbish I eat in between meals! 🙈😂
Glad I made you giggle Helens! 😁 and don't ever worry about me taking things the wrong way - those who know me irl laugh at the fact that I'm un-offendable and have previously taken bets on who could do it! 😂 suffice to say that no-one has ever managed it and my mates have made some decent cash out of it 😉
Anyway, today I put on perfume following my shower, dressed in a nice top and none-manky jeans and went for an early walk before work 😁 I had an orange, red grapefruit and pomegrate salad for breakfast and a jacket potato with houmous and leaves for lunch. I've been drinking green tea and sparkly water today too so I'm feeling very virtuous 😉 hopefully my resolve will hold on the alcohol front when dh starts on his brandy tonight! 🙈
Hugs to those who need one and I hope anyone still feeling/starting to feel ropey feel much better soon!8 -
Forgot to ask - are you known as helensbiggestfan or LL?? I'm not sure if I'm getting confused due to my old age or alcohol dulled brain or if I've missed something/ got the wrong end of the stick!! 🙈😂7

I read somewhere that by the time it takes a disastrous DIY haircut to grow out, hairdressers will be open! And that could be months! 😂🤣8

I said to my husband yesterday that I thought you could just brush it all forward and then just cut the ends across if you have long hair! Eek. I'm not sure. I might see how longer this shutdown goes on for instead.
I just did my first meditation about an hour ago. I sat up in bed and wrapped the new shawl I bought around my shoulders I managed 10 minutes and then I laid down and had a short nap. The meditation teacher who wrote the book said this could happen as he said most people are sleep deprived and meditation rests your mind. He said it is like a warm bubble bath for your mind.
Actually, I just decided to stop being a baby and just cut my hair! Looks okay, my hair is wavy so it's not as noticeable as someone with straight hair. I will tell myself that anyway. I cut off about 2 inches.

Squirrell girl I am both......one and the same. Ooh I sound like a double agent.
When they changed the site I got locked out and had to register again and give myself a new identity. As my aunt used to say "I really didn't mind what you call me as long as you don't call me late for my dinner". 😉. So call me whatever you feel like calling me......it's all good.My grandson calls me "Babon". Its a long story....But I love it.Well I managed to prep the next lot of brickwork which needs painting without aggravating my knee too much. I've got it strapped up. It was my own stupid fault. I did a lot of ladder work yesterday and didn't think to strap my knee. Balancing on a ladder really puts a strain on the muscles that support the knees so I should have been more careful to protect myself. When will I ever learn.....🤔.When we finally get out of lockdown I might need to add acupuncture to the list of outstanding treatments ..........along with massage, physio, dental work, opticians visit, chiropodist and hairdresser. It's going to cost me a fortune......8 -
Think I'll go with LL - quicker to type! 😉😂 hope the knee improves - I get occasional flare ups on one of mine (one of my dogs dislocated it about 25 years ago) and it really is a nightmare when it goes 😔
Wednesday- well done on the haircut! I've done it in the past but my hair is so mental no one can tell if I've messed it up! 😂 hope the meditation has helped you feel a bit better too! 😁7 -
Afternoon, fabbers.
It’s nice to have the sun break out here in South London. I was saying to OH at the weekend that I was feeling a bit of cabin fever. I think it’s because I’ve been busy at work and so haven’t really had much time outside. Hopefully, the bank holiday weekend will be nice.
i have also indulged in a bit of retail therapy and bought some cropped joggers (1 mile wear), a wristlet and placed an order for skincare as I was running low. I bought the joggers and wristlet on eBay, saving £30.8 -
Beautiful day here but a bit windy, so have 2 loads of washing blowing on the line I get a real feeling of satisfaction at that, is anyone else the same ?
Well done everyone who has chopped their hair my thinning scissors arrived last week and I took the plunge ! Could have made a wig out of how much I chopped off.
I then put a colour on and I am more than happy with the result, I must add that I do always colour my own hair so that wasn't a first but other than giving my fringe a trim I've never attempted to cut it before. Talking to my daughter on Facetime this morning and she said how nice my hair looked so I'm very happy.
Just waiting for a Tesco delivery so we will be stocked up on some nice things again, will have to hide some at the back of the fridge so that DH isn't tempted.
Have been exploring some of our local footpaths which has been nice and walking some that we haven't walked for years.
Chanie I watched the weather this morning and apparently it's going to be nice until Sunday when it's going to get cold, so make plans for Saturday everyone.

Another lovely sunny day, but that East wind is making it so cold mornings. Spent lots of time in the garden recently, but overdid things yesterday. Took time to style my hair properly today, it looks lovely even though haircut well overdue. Trying not to think about the possibility of long term lock down, too soon to investigate things yet but likely that any vaccine developed would not work for me, probably have to wait to piggy back off antibodies from donors of my treatment. I am here and well so consider my glass at least half full.
LL I hope that you have had an easier day,
Wednesday are you feeling a little better today, keep telling us about your choice of outfits, helps motivate me.
Chanie enjoy your new purchases, hope you can get some outside time in the sun before to cold returns
Well done those brave enough to have done haircuts, just a fringe trim for me.
OH and I went for a little drive today, just half an hour to give the car a decent run, so enjoyed seeing the trees in full leaf, the flower laden clematis Montanans and vast expanses of Hawthorn blossom, so cheery.
I need to try and post more often, if I read back to previous pages to make comments I keep loosing my post. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)5 -
How are you doing Wednesday? 🙂
You did well with your hair maisie. It must look good to show up well on camera. 😁 Like you I've only trimmed my fringe maddie. It's getting longer at the sides though.
This afternoon I sat and got back to some knitting. It's only fairly plain so I don't need to look down too much. I'm trying to work through some recorded TV programmes. Today I watched Rick Stein's Long Weekend. I really enjoy his blend of travelogue with cooking. 🙂
We did a shortish walk today (about 4 500 steps). We drove to deliver a book to a friend and then while we were that side of town we wandered around the old cemetery and walked on the common attached. The cemetery is in a fascinating place. It's disused and lightly managed so quite wild with many interesting gravestones including Titanic.
Lots of Hawthorn to see on our walk. Some seemed to have red blossom?? It's odd watching the seasons change as my head is stuck in March. 🤔5
