maddiemay said:Wednesday, whatever it is that you have, I hope that you feel better soon.
I'm really glad we got a shopping delivery Friday. I will run out of bleach soon but I got some mould remover from the under sink cupboard that I can use instead. I have another delivery coming next Friday so I don't know if I have to tell Ocado that we are self-isolating. I suppose I do.
I've got some Amazon deliveries coming this week so I think my husband will have to open the door wearing his mask as I don't have one.4 -
Hope you can get a test soon Wednesday. It seems tests are 50 000 down on last Thursday perhaps because no postal tests at the weekend. Maybe it'll improve tomorrow. 🙂
We had a mammoth walk today (11 000+ steps). I feel so much better for it. It really helps ward off cabin fever. 🙂
Good on you doing the hair treatments sft. Obviously it's good for your hair but I think just the act of giving ourselves some time and attention is helpful. 🙂
Well done for losing those pounds sugarbaby. While exercise is good, it's my experience that it's healthy eating that makes the biggest difference. Don't blame you having birthday treats though. 😉 I'm trying to confine a few treats to the weekend. It's good for my waistline but also helps to keep a structure to my week. 🙂
Dull but dry here today. Good weather for walking, not too hot. 🙂7 -
I tried on a new foundation- a double wear light version. I wanted to see how it wears through out the day and tried some new colours as an eyeshadow. I have been using a bronzer as a shadow and then put a layer of a shimmer over it. It is nice to try new looks and find a week end look if you know what i mean.
I cooked, laundry, browsed the internet and did very little today. That is good because sometimes we just all need to decompress and not do too much.
maman - your walking has inspired me to get moving. sometimes activity and seeing the neighourhood is good for the spirts.6 -
You're right sft. Today DH wanted to deliver a book. He was going to post it but then we decided it was close enough to walk. So we got to walk in an area we normally only drive through and use a maze of footpaths we'd never see in the car.
Bronzer is very versatile. I'd not thought of using it as eye shadow. I generally use a pearly highlighter which I also use on my cheekbones. Same principle I suppose. 😉8 -
The bronzer is great as a neutral base tone and allows the same colour pallette to be used. I tried it because I always run out of the neutral tones first. I am trying to make my eyes more dramatic as the face mask covers everything else.
I love taking the walk through neighbourhoods, it gives me great ideas on the garden design and seeing all those random sights. It can be fun to take the time to explore our locality like we do as tourists as see what things are locally. I7 -
Last time I contributed to this thread was back in January when I was full of good intentions! 🙈 I've lurked and been impressed with everyone's achievements though 😉
I've done nothing on the fabbing front until today when I decided enough is enough and I need to get my head out of my **** and pull myself together- I'm drinking more than a pirate, eating rubbish, smoking like a chimney, getting no excercise and look like a hobo! 🙈 Feeling pretty ashamed of myself I have just dyed my hair, defurred, exfoliated and am having an early night. Tomorrow I'm going to start as I mean to go on - I'll be doing a minimum of 30 mins walking a day, cut out the alcohol, have a bit of a detox and start dressing in something other than a decrepit sweatshirt and manky jeans...
Thank you for inspiring me - I'm making the remaining lockdown time my opportunity to turn myself around! 😉8 -
squirrel girl welcome back to the thread and your new, positive attitude.

squirrel girl youve just put into words exactly what ive been thinking today and i also decided tomorrow im changing my habits, If not theyll have to widen the doors to get me out , as all i seem to do is snack , and not be so active as i was, and ive done a lot of hard work before the lock down to get on track , so dont want to chuck all that away. Ive even made a list of what im hoping ( GOING ) to achieve this week , and will tick off as i do them , Good luck to you
My worst thing at the moment is my hair , I hate it when my hair starts going grey, It physically makes me feel ill as my hair goes grey. Silly i know , And i like it on other people , just not me , It makes me feel old and worn out. My daughter is a trained hairdresser. and she normally dyes it and puts highlights in , of course she cant at the moment, , I could get her to mix the dye , and leave it for me to pick up, but after all these years of marriage id feel really down if my husband did it , I joked with him today , saying he likes painting , might have to do my hair,,,,,,,,,, but i really dont want him to see how bad its got underneath. I feel bad as it is , without him seeing how old i look , Thats not what fabbing is about ..........i should feel nice.
The main thing i know is that we are all safe and healthy, Some poor souls havent been so lucky , but we have to try our best

I tried to eat something last night and ended up throwing up (sorry TMI) and went to bed feeling awful. My husband started coughing as well last night but he said he feels fine today so I don't know what that was about. Oh well, at least he gets two weeks off work now. He just filled in the form for his isolation note.
I feel much better and I woke up and had a hot shower, did a hair treatment and put on scented body lotion afterwards. I got dressed and put on makeup and my necklace too as I had been in my PJs the past few days.
My stomach is growling so I'm about to have a healthy breakfast. At least this self-isolation means I will have to be completely alcohol-free all week. A silver lining there.2025 GOALS
