squirrelgirl said:Last time I contributed to this thread was back in January when I was full of good intentions! 🙈 I've lurked and been impressed with everyone's achievements though 😉
I've done nothing on the fabbing front until today when I decided enough is enough and I need to get my head out of my **** and pull myself together- I'm drinking more than a pirate, eating rubbish, smoking like a chimney, getting no excercise and look like a hobo! 🙈 Feeling pretty ashamed of myself I have just dyed my hair, defurred, exfoliated and am having an early night. Tomorrow I'm going to start as I mean to go on - I'll be doing a minimum of 30 mins walking a day, cut out the alcohol, have a bit of a detox and start dressing in something other than a decrepit sweatshirt and manky jeans...
Thank you for inspiring me - I'm making the remaining lockdown time my opportunity to turn myself around! 😉Anyway.....this mornings greetings. Good Morning Lovely Ladies. As Molly reminds us - we may be struggling a little with motivation but we are safe and well.Wednesday. Sounds like you and your DH been having a grim old time of things. Glad to hear you feel a bit brighter this morning, Fingers crossed you are over the worst, whatever it was/is. Look after yourself.Well mission accomplished......after two abortive attempts to do an Aldi shop because I couldn't face the queues I got up early this morning, skipped breakfast and did a nice big stock up. Lots of fruit and veg, both fresh and frozen so no excuse now.....back on the healthy eating. I need to shift a few lbs,I am feeling really chuffed. I took a day off diy on Saturday. I felt rebellious. I was just sick of it. Of course then I felt guilty for doing nothing.😂. Anyway yesterday I got my mojo back so got stuck in - whitewashed some brickwork. Looks tons better. Hopefully more of the same later today. I just need to nip to the local ironmonger first for some pollyfilla.A bit grey and murky here and a bit chilly yet, but the weather forecast is good for the next few days. I'm hoping the council collect the green waste this week. My bin is full of lawn clippings and weeds and it stinks. I need to do some more weeding but I really don't want to add any more. I was hoping the recycling centre was going to reopen this week but apparently not. Some councils have but alas not ours. I have so much junk piled up in the shed and I'm really looking forward to clearing it. I am itching to do some more Kondoing. 😉.7 -

Yes, I miss chazzer shop browsing too. I could do with a few tops. I relegated some of mine for DIY jobs and they are now covered in paint.....😂.Meant to say - my hair is not exactly my crowing glory at the moment either. The colour is fine but it's very straggly now and I would normally have give up trying to grow it long before now. But.....having come this far I'm going to try and brazen it out. I did trim the fringe, made a reasonable job of it.Today I saw a lady in Aldi whose hair was the same colour as mine and it was longer. She had it tied back in a loose pony tail and it looked lovely. If I could just get it to that stage.......🤔7

The firststep is the hardest and then the journey begins.
(i have to force myself to get out of bed today- I have so much to do and not getting there fast but like the tortoise slowly does it)7 -
Glad you're feeling a bit better today Wednesday. Will your DH need a test before he can return to work?
I started lockdown full of motivation to do things around the house but it's definitely waned. It's partly because of my neck muscles but also just this feeling that nothing's urgent. What's pleasing is that I've found out that the ingrained habits I#ve worked on have stuck. I'm still meal planning and eating well. I'm still (mostly) limiting alcoholic drinks to weekends and I'm still doing all my basic beauty routines.
Until recently, the weather's been so good that when I've been going out I've just put on a bit of lippy and my Raybans. With the change of weather and sft's post about face masks I'm going to have to concentrate on my eyes.
My hair's getting longer and thicker. I'm so pleased with my hairdresser as the shape is really good. The back is usually cut sharply into my neck but now there's more of it I'm having to take more care with blow drying. I'd love to be able to tie or even clip it up LL but I'd be surprised if It grows that long. We'll see.

I am finally finishing the book on meditation I started what seems like months ago. I'm going to start doing the two 10-20 minute meditations each day, well, starting with one this afternoon/evening.
I am going to have a nice hot bath tonight and use a face mask.
I was tempted to look online at how to cut my hair myself as it is so "endy" as it hasn't been trimmed since October. I'm not sure about that yet. I might look on YouTube and see how difficult it looks! Lol.2025 GOALS

I've got killer backache and when I went to the local shop just now I wrenched my knee again, so I don't think I'll be painting today after all.Meant to say Aldi has some lovely cologne type sprays today, three different types, a rose, a citrus and a flower base. I sprayed one wrist with citrus and one with the flower. I don't usually like rose based perfumes on me. Anyway they are lovely and at only £5.99 each I'll definitely treat myself at that price. They also had some pink clay based products, a hot cloth and a face mask. I have seen both highly recommended in the press. I didn't get any because I don't really need anything at the moment. Tbh honest I wish I had now so I will look out for them next time I go. It's not as if they will go off......7

Thanks for the heads up LL. I like rose perfumes. I've been using a Boots rosewater every day and eyeing up Jo Malone's Rose which is gorgeous. I'll definitely check it out. 🌹❤️😁6

there is a great resource for hair cutting on youtube. sam villa teaches hair cutting techniques. It is very entertaining and honestly really good ideas.
If your hair is super long pick up limes on youtube has a great hair cutting tutorial for self cutting. honestly as it might be easier to use a few bobby pins to pin back hair and use gel. It you cut it wrong it can take a while to grow out. check out sam villa it is brilliant.
I did get up and ran around to tidy the house, pamper my self and get somethings form the supermarket. I will try aldi and see if they have some of the fragrances as they sound lovely.
