I went to the corner shop and standing infront of the milk fridge I hesitated to open it, you know decide what you want before opening it (noticing that what i want was out of dateand comining up with an alternative!) and lossing the coldness inside. This yoke of a thing basically barged in front of me opened the door and pulled her 2 litre of milk out. Social distancing out the window. I hope she saw the evil look gave her with my mask. People can maddening.
Im getting more involved in the community - in a pandemic- isolated- getting to know neighbours and talking from a distance. It is great to see people and chat, because we have more in common and it's nice to speak with neighbours and help them where needed. People can he great.
I have a bit of a break from work for a few days and it is great to be able to relax. I think I was more stressed until I called out my coworker's behaviour, I am not impressed by her and I said it. I don't feel that someone should endanger anyone else and its their problem if they want to be miffed, I honestly feel better for calling it out. My life and that of others is more important.
Im going to really do the hair today, layer on loads of masque and do a mini spa day. I have loads of product and I know i will feel brilliant for using them.
Wednesday- you inspired to ask about the bike to work scheme- I have arranged with pay roll to save weekly for a bike. I estimate by July or August I will have a new bike with a shiny helmet. It will save a fortune as parking locally is wicked expensive. I have to incorpate healthy behaviours into daily life. I saw a folding bike- does anyone know would it be practical because I might use the free car park on the other side of town or are they really flimsy?
Sugar- you inspire me with the saving and your active social life. I know it is on hold but it will return. However, the rate you save is impressive and inspires me to be more careful with money.7 -
Hello Ladies,
With regards to my savings, I started 2020 with £2,000 savings left over from my 2019 savings. I am trying to live a more frugal life without compromising on having joyful moments and events in my life and I am also making savings each week on my grocery shopping while still being able to afford to buy quality food rather than just buying items that will save me even more money.
Martin Lewis, says that we all need to have a nest egg of at least 6 months of salary but in my case that would mean 6 months of mu usual Benefits to cushion us against those events that we can never plan for in our futures. It gives me great peace of mind to know that I can afford to save money every month.
Wednesday I hope that you will recover soon. I know you have a bit of a cough and blocked nose, but with Covid 19 the cough is a dry cough which will even make it difficult for you to complete a sentence without having to cough, so the chances are that you will not have that, but some other virus like a cold.
I am having a really relaxing day, just reading my current book Keep You Safe by Melissa Hill and watching TV. I was a whirlwind, doing lots of household tasks on Friday morning as I felt so much like my old self for a day. I was suffering fatigue yesterday, so I only did the washing up and cooled wholemeal pasta with a Bolognese sauce for dinner. I made a large one, which was enough for 5 generous portions, so we will be having that for dinner again on Monday night.
Since, I came out of hospital, I have cooked so many home cooked meals, as I feel that I need a healthier more balance diet, to aid my recovery. As I could not do much in the way of celebrating my birthday at home, I bought lots of delicious snacks, which I thoroughly enjoyed sharing with my daughter. But then came the day when I jumped on my bathroom scales and could hardly believe my eyes, I had jumped from being 15 stones 11 pounds to being 16 stones 2 pounds. Thank goodness that I have the will power to do without unhealthy snacks whenever I need to, so since last Thursday when I weighed 16 stones 2 pounds, I have managed to reduce my weight to 15 stones 12 pounds.
I have a long way to go in my weight loss journey, but I am not doing any daily exercise at the moment, because I do not yet have the physical strength, then I need to make sure that my weight is not insidiously going up and up. When the weather is consistently warm, I will take pleasure in dressing well every time I leave my home to get some shopping. I have loads of new items of clothes and new sandals and shoes that are waiting to be worn.
My sister R is still having a really tough time trying to recover from Covid 19. Her GP just signed her off for another 4 weeks, after which she will be reviewed again to see if she is fit to return to work in any capacity. She works for the NHS on the administration side.
It really annoys me when people I know make it clear that they see no reason to abide by the lockdown rules. Why do such a large minority of UK citizens feel that they can do as they please and put so many other people at risk? I enjoy staying at home, as I am safest at home and I now have plenty of time to read, which is my favourite hobby.

That is great savingfortomorrow!
Sugarbaby - I'm pretty sure that I have already had Covid-19 as I felt very ill back in the end of January. This was probably just the start of a cold but it was the cough symptom that 111 said I had to self-isolate for. It's probably to be on the safe side. I'm healthy but a lot of people aren't and I don't want to infect someone just in case. If this is the virus now it was very mild for me, but they say some people will be fine with it. It's interesting as I don't think they understand how it works. Maybe we will know much later down the line.
I just checked the government website again and there are still no tests available apart from if you drive. I feel a lot better today, no headache, muscle aches or sore throat although I still have a bit of a blocked nose and a cough.
I took this herbal remedy called oil of oregano yesterday and it made me feel much better. I'm definitely going to try that next time I feel like I'm coming down with something. I do still feel tired, especially my legs, I always get that symptom when I'm not feeling well. I think I will go back to bed for a while. It's not like we have anywhere to go, lol.
I was thinking that I miss going to the Chinese herbal place I used to go to to get reflexology. That is another thing to add to my list.

I remember when I had the mumps in my twenties I lost a stone in the 3 weeks that I was ill. I wouldn't want to have something like that again but it was a good side-effect.2025 GOALS

I just read this.
Coronavirus: Diarrhea and Other Confirmed Gastrointestinal Symptoms
I just stepped on the scales and I have lost another 5 pounds. That was only since Thursday because I remember weighing myself that morning! That is strange as I have been eating normally. Quite a lot of junk actually, haha.
I keep having another weird symptom like the skin on the inside of my mouth feels like it has been burned, like when you eat something too hot. I don't have a metallic taste in my mouth, though.
I just thought that I have given the wrong information about my illness to the NHS when I gave feedback on 111 as it might have started Thursday, not yesterday.2025 GOALS

Thanks for those mask ideas and the gogglebox link. I have a couple of sleep masks and will look them out. I also have quite a lot of cut (varying) lengths of tubigrip as well as a couple of new boxes, will look and see if I can adapt using the sock method.
Wednesday, whatever it is that you have, I hope that you feel better soon. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)4 -
Hopefully we can get some fashion forward ones. I saw some amazing ones recently with fancy scarves and biker bandanas. We have to rock this new look with a wonderful elan and style. It will be a new normal.
