Good morning lovely ladies.I'm feeling a bit woe is me today.😂. No real reason, nothings changed. Maybe that's the problem. Lol. Maybe I'm just getting cabin fever. The dark dismal weather doesn't help much does it and it's so cold again. Slept badly and woke up with lots of aches and pains.....I just have to remind myself this too shall pass and really I am very fortunate compared with many who are really struggling.Anyway I am currently sipping my coffee and have had an Epsom salt bath and taken some Flarin, slathered myself in hemp gel and tiger balm. Hopefully something will work soon. I mustn't sit around feeling sorry for myself I'll get stuck in with some painting although my tummy is rebelling against either the paint or the penicillin. 😂. Gawd I'm a wreck this morning...I'm sure I'll feel better if I try and work it off.Hope you are all well.7

I'm feeling quite good today. I'm not as bored as I have been the past few days for some reason. It's bright and sunny and at least it's not raining!
My new wardrobe didn't arrive yesterday so I think it will come today so I have to sort my clothes and stuff out later. I think my new journal is arriving today too so I can start reading the other book tomorrow and doing the journal exercises.
I'm going to finish the rest of the retirement book today. I have now got 20 new hobbies/activities written on my list. I have my CBT phone session later this afternoon. I need to brush all my dogs and cats at some point too. Exciting!

Hope at least one of your remedies works LL.
I'm feeling a bit meh about how little I've achieved during the lockdown. Having the sore muscles has literally been a pain in the neck!! I've been so limited in what I can do that doesn't involve looking down. Reading, watching TV, walking and a few exercises is about it alongside the essential chores like cooking and laundry.
Do share your lengthening list Wednesday. I hope your CBT session goes well.
Today is food shopping day!! We've been sticking to once a week except for odd bits that we've picked up on local walks, like milk. I might stop off at a bottle bank on the way too as our council has stopped glass collections. If I do both in one hit I don't think it'd be an unnecessary journey. I heard a man on the radio saying he drove (about 40 miles round trip) to see his fiancée every day. She was officially in the shielded category so he kept a bag of shopping in the car just in case he got stopped by the police. I think his fiancée will soon be in the obese category if he's force feeding her every day!
Dull and grey here. It doesn't help. bring back the sun PDQ!!

I'm not sure I will do all these but I have more chance if I just think of anything I might want to do.
11. Learn to ride a bike (I've never learned to!) and buy a bike.
12. Start journaling daily.
13. Get involved with local politics or an environmental group.
14. Learn to play the piano.
15. Get regular massages.
16. Do a course at a local college/uni.
17. Go swimming.
18. Join the University of the third age (I read about that on here) I think it can be for any age as long as you are retired.
19. Join a sailing club.
20. Do an art class.2025 GOALS

Great list Wednesday......
im currently recording "The Joy of Painting". BBC4 7pm each evening. It's years old. The kids and I used to watch it when they were small. I havent got time at the moment but would really love to paint (proper art painting, not just furniture renovations). It's definitely on my list .......together with quite a fee of the other things on your list.........when I have finished the house😂. That seems to take up most of my time at the moment - I can't work as fast as I used to.Anyway, I thought I would record the whole series and then maybe I can look and learn next winter. Then if I'm any good I might try proper art classes.I reckon I'm over half way now on the kitchen cabinets. It's been a good project to get my teeth into over lockdown. 🤣. It does lift my spirits when I'm working. I feel much better now I've done a couple of hours this morning. Then I want to paint some furniture and reupholster some chairs - so plenty to keep my out of mischief. Most of my neighbours seem to be engaged in diy or garden projects too during lockdown......they are all busy as bees.Maman........how about knitting, i know you are quite keen although I'm guessing it might aggravate your neck. I had intended to start writing a blog and finish my memoirs but I only have an iPad at the moment and if I use the iPad too much it hurts my neck. I think when this is over and I'm more organised I will treat myself to a good laptop.....
There does seem to be a lot of old programmes being reshown on the TV. I guess they are having to stretch out the programming content. The absence of live sport has left a huge gap......we would normally being seeing loads of summer sporting fixtures round about now. They are really scraping the barrel with sport coverage now, showing lots of the "best of" - reliving old glories. 😂.6 -
managed to get a walk before the rains came, and rain it did
, our school is open for key workers children, although being secondary not many coming in. I worked last week, and in 2 full days and one half in May. We are all on a rota. I've been exploring netflix and seeing as I enjoyed Happy Valley with Sarah Lancashire so much I then began watching Last tango in Halifax on bbc iplayer, its by same writer, really enjoying it! I often struggle choosing things to watch that I can concentrate through.

wednesday- It is a great idea writing down what you want and the steps that will lead you there. The process of writing it down allows you to focus upon what you really want and value, I often see people who are afraid of change because they don't have a guide to plan a change, I think i am going to do a post covid plan too. If i come out of this ok, I want to take the chance to make a few changes.
lessons- its a great idea to record the painting, even if you don't pick up a brush it will be insightful to how the paintings are created and give great enjoyment. i hope you feel a lot better, it can be hard at the minute with the weather dull and uninspiring it can be very draining
i was less stressed today as everyone seemed to obey the rules well. It is a case of everyone looking out for each other. I have been trying to reduce the meal times- limit the amount of eating. It is hard to avoid overeating at the minute but every little bit helps.

Good Morning lovely ladies
had a lovely long sleep last night, feel much better this morning. Still very stiff and sore at times though. I really am looking forward to a proper massage when things start up again. I am also going to book a course of physio/chiro - I really feel that my body needs "straightening out". Hot baths and stretching help but I really do need more......a session on "the rack" maybe😂🤣.Looks like another dull, wet day so more painting. Running low on paint now though for the kitchen so I might need to turn my attention to some other bits in the rest of the house. Our B&Q has reopened but apparently it has been rammed and they have suspended deliveries so I have ordered paint from eBay.I am trying not to get paranoid or panicky but I really don't want to risk very busy shops or public places unless absolutely necessary because like you say, SFT, not everyone out there seems to understand the 2 metre rule. So I am probably going to avoid RL shopping for a while, apart from food.I could do with a couple of new lightweight sweaters for cooler summer days so I will have a look online over the weekend and maybe treat myself. I do miss mooching round the charity shops. 😂. I don't feel restless as such but I too am looking forward to getting back to some sort of new normal and have started thinking about my to do lists. It's good to have a plan.I remind myself that nothing lasts forever and this too shall pass. The main thing is that we all stay safe and that we do what is necessary to protect ourselves and our loved ones.7 -

I think a lot of people will have had time to reflect on their lives in these quite extraordinary times.

Hello Ladies,
Even though I am still getting coughing fits and suffering from fatigue, I am needing less sleep and I have more energy as each day goes by.
I am continuing to do a lot more home cooking which my daughter and I are preferring. She cracks me up some days, as she often licks her dinner plate clean
I managed to save £465 in April, so now I have savings of £4065
