EDIT; Just popped my head out the door to check for sure and certain, but I didn't think I'd be able to hear a single thing from anyone else's house if they tried, with the distance apart we are. Had time to think "Not a scrap of plane noise" though, fortunately, I don't get that much bother from plane noise normally and am feeling distinctly hopeful I'll never hear any plane noise again. Silver lining to cloud time.

OH wasn’t at work today, so he could help out with the children (as opposed to me trying to work full time and look after the children). We took them for a bike ride and walk through the woods (it’s London, so I use the term loosely). It was lovely to spend some time together, without having to rush.
we did the NHS clap tonight. I think OH thought I’d made it up, when I dragged him and the children outside at 7:58pm, but it was lovely to see so many people participate.
Im trying to use my free time productively and thinking of things to do. I have been trying new recipes (providing we have the ingredients), reading and learning a language via my phone. I’m going to set the children some goals and reward them if they achieve them.6 -
I've been eating more strange combination of food. I had some spiced lentils and potatoes. I had some homemade rice pudding. A bit carb heavy but sometimes it is good. I'm trying to eat better, taking vitamins. I can't exercise really much as so tired when I get home.
This week will be meal prepping for the week ahead, catching up on articles for work and keeping current. It's going to be busy as I guess more staff shortages. Keep calm and just give realistic expectations, that's all I can do.
I'm feeling allergic to the supermarket at the moment. I have so much dried goods in at the best of times that I could feed an army. I've more lentils soaking and might make a hearty soup. I want to avoid as much as possible. It will be a good challenge to use up dried goods and create new meals. I have loads of different beans, lentils, rice, pickles, pasta, oat milk, oats and tea. I can survive food wise.
I really made an effort today with makeup. I didn't for the last few weeks but genuinely I tend to avoid touching my face when I have a load of makeup on. It might even a fraction stop me touching my face. I'm using gloves and masks, anything. I keep reminding colleagues to stop touching their face but they are seriously not listening 😭. I can see them touching their face so often and no using provided masks for their own protection. I've been trained working in sterile areas, with radioactive markers, bacteria and other nasties that I know not to touch my face and be careful. It's hard for some people who are not well trained before to change habits but it bloody annoys me.

Hello Ladies,
I have had corona virus. It has been a truly horrifying collection of very nasty symptoms. I have survived. I was seriously ill in King's College Hospital from Thursday 19th March until yesterday. I am so relieved to be back at home and continuing to recover. I am not sure how long it will be before I finally lose this hacking cough, so much awful phlegm and mucus and all the pains in my body. I have residual stomach issues so I am not sure when I will regain my appetite.
I have lost 1 stone 4 pounds in only 17 days of being illIf the weight loss continues, I do not know how much I will end up losing. As I am obese, I have plenty of fat to spare. The muscle tone in my calves and arms is really bad. My chest and stomach are really painful, but I have 30 days of codeine and 30 days of anti nausea pills that will help with those pains and the awful churning in my stomach.
My 4 grown up children, my grandchildren and my wider family were all extremely worried at all of my suffering but are so relieved that I have been allowed home from hospital.
I am going to have to take it easy until I have regained some of my physical strength.
For the 1st time since I became a Mother I had to be apart from all 4 of my children for Mother's Day and that made me so sad. When I am up to it, my eldest daughter is going to do a belated family meal, if lockdown has been relaxed.
It is not going to be a hardship for me to stay at home, watching TV programmes and getting lots of reading done. I have lots of music to enjoy as well.
The Doctors at the hospital say I am now immune to corona virus, but only time will prove that to be fact

Hello Sugarbaby.......I am so glad to from you. And so sorry to hear how poorly you have been. I am just glad to hear that you got through it - it sounds like you had a very severe version. Obviously you are going to feel pretty much wiped out for a while but hopefully with rest you will make a complete recovery in time. What can I say....you know what you need to do.....take care, keep warm, rest and eat when you can. As you say we can "do" Mother's Day when this is over.Lots of love. Xx7

Good morning lovely ladies
Well I have been self isolating for over a week now, keeping in touch with loved ones and friends either by phone or online. I feel fine, physically, mentally and emotionally. Keeping busy, staying focussed and optimistic, tackling all those niggly little outstanding jobs during the day and then in the evening catching up with films, tv programmes and reading. I haven't found time dragging or hanging heavily, in fact this last week seems to have whizzed by.I have now received the bulk of my inheritance from FIL and have split it between the boys and myself. TBH it couldn't have come at a more opportune time. My eldest son and DIL are working from home so their salary is unaffected - at least for now but I guess nothing is guaranteed - some companies aren't going to survive and some universities will perhaps need to make cutbacks. My youngest son who is self employed but for less than a year so doesn't seem to qualify for much government help is likely to be hit financially but he does have savings. However, this little financial boost will be a cushion for them and give them peace of mind. It's an ill wind as they say. Sorry to lose FIL but very very grateful for his generosity. We are very fortunate but I fear a lot of people are going to be very badly hit and will struggle financially for some time to come.Back on the WW and I'm keeping up the fabbing .......😁
Going to do a food inventory and make a proper list of all my stocks. Make sure I use everything to the best advantage and ensure there's no waste. I recorded Jamie's cookery programme so will watch that later. I do have plenty of fresh fruit and veg at the moment and I have discovered several little local shops so should be ok in that dept. But I have started taking extra vitamins .....just in case. Apparently extra Vit C for the immune system and D to help the respiratory tract are good to take right now. And of course, staying in isolation......
Stay safe and well my friends.6 -

Vivien Leigh was beautiful!
One good thing for me is that I have been exercising at home as I've been so bored.
I've already lost 5 lbs of the 7 lbs I gained on this medication.
I'm about to use my trampoline/rebounder again and then have a hot bath. It felt freezing last night, but it has warmed up a lot here today. I will shave my legs and I have used a pore strip.

LL - I keep meaning to watch that Jamie Oliver programme! I'm going to set it to record now.
Oh yes, hopefully this antibody test will be out soon and it was be available for NHS staff and then key workers so my husband could get tested to see if he has had it.
I would be interested in having it myself if I can as it would be a load off my mind to know if that illness I had in January was the actual virus. They say in healthy people that it can be quite mild. I'm a bit confused as to whether you can just buy the test or not. I read something saying Amazon might sell it...2025 GOALS

I think a lot of us are waiting anxiously for that "test that will show antibodies if we've had it - ie as well as showing if we currently have it". Every little niggle illness wise is going to have us worrying and/or other reactions to it in case it's CV.
I would find it a bit odd if Amazon did sell the test in the event (though I would certainly buy it myself if they do - so I can have my "I'm Clean" asap).
To me personally I've got a priority order in my head for who I think should have it and it goes:
1. Key workers (obviously)
2. Those who need the money from their jobs and they are "necessity" type jobs (I wouldnt include "luxury" occupations that have emerged in recent years in that one). I wouldnt include people that are working because they want to or are adding pin money to a household that is on good-high income in that one.
3. Everyone else - and that does include Royal Family.
Though I know I personally would count as priority 3 for that one, but it would be a big consolation to know that people who consider themselves "important" but aren't necessary to run the country and don't need to earn their income came in the same position as me.
