I was confused by vests too. I thought they were now called gilets or back in the day 'body warmers'. 😁
My short quilted jacket has a biker look with pockets and buckles. It's a good style, much better than the M&S beige anorak look!
Good news that your neighbour paid on the nail LL. How's this for a flying object? 🐖🤣9 -
It's good that dentists are staying open this time pixie. You sound very organised. I'd like some decent weather too. Dry would be good. 😉9

Torrential here again, lots of surface water on the roads. Got my swim in, will go again Wednesday then thats it . Called at the library after work, I assumed that they were closing but they aren't so that's good. I was pleased to learn from an article that I was reading that library memberships have soared this year. It keeps jobs secure. I love a browse in the library! I love my kindle too, and picking up books in charity shops. I never buy new.It was my first day back at school today. I am wondering if at some point they will decide to close, or have the older ones at home. You all sound organised and ready for this lockdown. I have bought anything extra.I have always made sure that I have three or four boxes of paracetemol in, extra tin of coffee, tea bags, a long life milk ( I have a pint delivered monday, wednesday and friday which is enough for me) always have a few tins in, and stuff in freezer so could make a do7

maman said:I got a compliment at the hairdressers for my fake Skechers! The stylist wanted something that looked good but was comfortable when you're on your feet all day so admired my Shoezone bargains. 😀 She was wearing something similar but with opaque tights and a short skirt so that's another idea for putting an outfit together.
I wore that type of outfit yesterday and today, in fact.

I do love horror films and TV.
I have mentioned on here that I am compiling a list which was supposed to be things to do after we retire but has just turned into a list of activities of what I want to do after this pandemic has calmed down, hopefully! One is to go to a horror convention where people dress up and you can usually also buy cool stuff there.
I thought today was so mild that it actually felt like Spring on my walk! It has been very windy though. LL that sounds like a nightmare with the gazebo accident, luckily it seemed to have turned out okay for you.
Chanie - I like the look of that jacket, I am the same as you and find jackets hard to fit me. I think it is my breasts!
I have ordered some new artwork to display in my house today from Etsy. If I am going to be indoors so much I may as well enjoy what I look at.
I did a clay face mask today and also painted my nails with a pink nail varnish over the nude colour, I thought why not?!
I have downloaded the latest Taylor Swift album and have been listening to that as well. It's not my usual type of music as I like rock but I thought this album she did during lockdown this year was surprisingly good.2025 GOALS

good morning lovely ladies. The wind has finally dropped and it's quite pleasant out there, pale winter sunshine, no real heat but bright enough.I woke early so I've already been to Asda for a mini stock up and then filled up the car. Time for breakfast and then I will go for my walk, and on the way call in at the local ironmongers. Not sure whether they will stay open for lockdown, they did last time but I will get what I need today just in case. I did read that more shops would be staying open this time round, garden centres definitely so maybe The DIY sheds will too. Then I might go for a browse in a couple of local chazzers. I'm assuming they will close for lockdown again. See if I can find some books and if they have any bargains.Have a great day.....keep happy, sane and fabulous.6

Still raining here and windy, although I live in an area that is known as being windy so if I went into town it might be better. I've got a lamp on as it is so gloomy here. I'm going to go and get my wool soon, we will stop at tobacconist on the way to make sure DH has enough to keep him going. I don't think I could do lockdown if he can't have his pipe, he needs his pipe and I need tea but I've got plenty of that in.
I'm so glad I got my hair done yesterday, it was looking terrible and it was a relief to look in the mirror this morning and not see a Worzel Gummidge looking back at me. I can really see how much thicker my hair is, I need to bite the bullet and order some hair stuff as I am running low. I hate spending so much but I know it is worth it.
Hope everyone is safe and well.4 -
It's a strange feeling that life as we know it will end at midnight tomorrow! Now we know how Cinderella must have felt! 🤣
I know it's not that bad really. I won't really miss shops or bars or restaurants that much. I think it's the lack of regular activities that punctuate life at a time when the weather is likely to be cold and dark that's depressing. I have my last dance class this afternoon so I intend to enjoy it while it lasts.
I'm pleased with my hair too. My DD has an appointment at 7.30 p.m. tonight as she's determined not to look like Worzel Gummidge either. 😁
I'm still keeping up with the Vitamin D supplement daily although I'm determined to do 'belt and braces' and keep eating healthily and get some daylight/fresh air whenever I can. 😊7 -
Wish I had enough hair to look like Worzel Gummidge 😂🤣. Hey ho, we are never satisfied are we.I've just had a lovely mooch round my favourite chazzer, picked up 6 books for £2. Although 3 of them were hardbacks each containing 3 novels. So plenty of reading....also some blingtastic fashion jewellery, a mustard coloured sweater and a pair of White Stuff plum velvet jeans. All that for £5.50.Time for coffee and a snack and then a walk, if the rain holds off.Maman I too am determined to get out every day, even if the weather isn't great. Just wrap up, take an umbrella and get out there even if it's only 10 minutes. Last time I had the garden and the kitchen project and it was easy sometimes to put off going for a walk. This time I'm going to make sure I do walk more. I am also going to try different walks, drive to some of our parks or the countryside and get out and enjoy nature.Time for coffee and a naughty croissant. 😊9

I always had fine hair and it was getting worse, I am amused to now have quite alot of hair and I think that was why I was finding it difficult when it got a bit too long. Now with it cut in a nice style I am loving it, I can toss my hair with the best of them!
We have been out and got tobacco and some little craft bits (and Smarties) to send to GC for a treat this lockdown weekend, I also got some of DDs favourite chocolates which are hard to get hold of. I'm getting some wool to make her a scarf and blankets so I will send the chocolates with the scarf.
We haven't got to the wool shop, DH felt ill so we've come home and he's had something to eat and is resting for an hour, if he's up to it he will come with me and if not I'm going by myself. It is good to get him out but if he isn't up to it I don't want to put it off till tomorrow.8
