Maman, thanks for the blast from the past. Loved it. Stevie Winwood had such a great voice.Pixie....having to stand by and watch your son and grandchildren suffer like that must be so difficult for you.My DIL has just been released from the hospital as I write. Will be home in a few minutes. So excited to see my new grandson. 😁. The older one has been so good, he's so sweet and has such a lovely sunny nature. It's been an absolute joy spending so much time here, although I have to say I am quite tired.I nipped home earlier to check my mail, sort out the bins for recycling, empty the fridge and generally shut down the house whilst I stay here.Apparently Nottingham going to level 3 on Thursday. Dil2 works at the Queens Med But fortunately not the covid unit.9

Congratulations LL, a baby is such a blessing.
Maman tkmaxx are online, and may have your size, they deliver to store for you to pick up.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.6 -
Thanks wort. I did take a look at the TKMaxx website but the particular coat wasn't there. They have a lot more online though than they used to so that's good to know. 😊
I seem to have got my days mixed up this week. This afternoon I'm having my eyebrows done. Yesterday was the dentist. 😀 I've made a hair appointment for Monday (thanks for reminding me pixie) as, looking at the lockdowns around Europe I thought I wouldn't risk waiting any longer. I've sprayed my hair with the John Frieda lightener this morning as I've only booked a cut and blow dry. Proper highlights can wait.
I had a pleasing letter from CRUK this morning. They said they'd made almost £80 from things I'd donated last year which means an extra £20 from Gift Aid. That's without the times I've not been asked for Gift Aid (as happened this week) and was in a rush so didn't push it. And that's just one of the shops. It's the easiest one to park outside but I do try to spread my donations around so if I've only got a small bag I'll walk to one of the others. Just think of all the charitable donations after lockdown. At least that's a bit of a silver lining. 😊
Strange weather. It keeps raining on and off but won't settle either way. I really must get another coat with a hood as I only have my parka. It's OK for casual wear but I need something smarter.
Hope everyone's coping OK.😊8 -
Hi fabbers,
Ive been busy with work recently. We have an audit coming up and our paperwork is in a bit of a state, so I’ve been putting in the hours to sort it out. I’m just now having a break and a cuppa before I get back to it.
on a more positive note, it’s pay day for me tomorrow. It’s been a loooonnnggg month so it will be nice to get my first pay.7 -
Congratulations on the new grandson LL4

Good afternoon lovely ladies.Home sweet home, after my stint at DS1s house.Mum and baby doing fine, so time for me to take a back seat and let them get on with it. 😁. It was good to be useful but I'm very tired and it's nice to be home again. Time for me now. 😂.At least I can now come out of my voluntary lockdown and get back to hopefully a slightly more normal routine although we are going to Tier 2 tomorrow and as Nottingham and Sheffield Are now Tier 3 maybe Derby won't be far behind. Oh well. I'll just make the best of it.So....I'll make the most of the next week or so and catch up with some things in readiness for any further restrictions. I have booked a massage and haircut for next week so at least I've got those out of the way.All is good.Chaney.....that first month at your new job seems to have whizzed by. Enjoy your first pay day.👍
I have been to both Aldi and Asda this morning. I'm hosting a little family get together tomorrow to celebrate the new baby and Halloween (obeying covid guidelines of course) so I might start the food prep later to get ahead. And then it's back on the healthy eating and exercise, see if I can lose a few Lbs for Christmas. 🤞5 -
Hope you have a nice party tomoz LL
We're in tier 3 here, so dont think we'll have any trick or treaters, but I've just seen the cutest little skeleton in the shop. She was trying to share her sweets with me , bless ❤
Have you any baby pics yet LL? Only if you're allowed to share of course xx"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I expect you're really glad to be back in your own home LL. Relax and enjoy. 😊 I've lost track of the tiers and lockdowns and circuit breakers and fire breaks. There are so many variations that now I'm just working on need to know. At the ,moment we're still in Tier 1 but the numbers are ever increasing here in the South so who knows. Perhaps we're gradually upping the tiers across England until we're all in lockdown without having to announce it! 🤣
You've waited a long time for this payday chanie. Hope you get to treat yourself . 😊
I've been dancing this afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've always enjoyed my dancing but the feel good factor at the moment is so important, a real lift.
Very pleased with my eyebrow wax and tint. I've got another (from the 3 for 2 package) booked in December so here's hoping it's still on. It was busy in the city centre yesterday, even queuing outside shops. I expect it was because of half term. I bought myself 2 more of my favourite Jack Wills tee shirts as I've worn a lot of those recently.

I also picked up some long sleeved tops in Primark as one mile clothes. I've yet to try them on so not sure if they're keepers.
It's rained fairly steadily all day today, mostly fine stuff. My hair hates damp air and the ends go all frizzy. I think some sun is promised for next week. 😀7 -
Maman you are right to get your fabbing sorted before we go back into lockdown. I’ve read that London may be moving into Tier 3 within the next 2 weeks, so Im going to go for a wax and eyebrow threading early next week. I also have a facial voucher which I think I should book sooner rather than later.
ll I’m so pleased to read that your DS’ family are now safely back at home.
