poor you Wednesday, hope you are well soon and weather better tomorrow to get out. Torrential rain here, it's rained all week. So fed up now. Back to school tomorrow, wonder how many will be in. Trying to be positive but it's hard on your own when you are still grieving

I'm so glad I got my hair appointment sorted for tomorrow. I should have had it done a month ago but it was cancelled and I'd been putting off making a new one. I badly need it cut. Think we might go out for lunch tomorrow after having my hair done, just a last hoorah before lockdown and then I'm going to get some wool, DD wants me to crochet her a granny blanket in her colour scheme. That should keep me busy for a while.
The weather is really miserable here, lots of rain, wind and grey skies, doesn't do much to lift the spirits.6 -
I was planning a nice long walk but it was raining so badly I feared I would need a life jacket and a raft. Other years I would have just wrapped up warm but a sniffle can mean that I have to take time off. I have to be careful. On the good days, I have to grab the opportunity to get out.
Wednesday- hope you feel better soon, rest up.
It is going to be hard staying in and having too much time to think. I remember a Hugh Grant film about a boy detailing dividing the day into half an hour slots to occupy it- Just try and keep busy and have a routine. Right now I am concerned with not putting on too much weight. I have to avoid massive portions and refined carbohydrates. I avoid buying bad stuff but it is harder to be active now. Practically I am going to remove all-forgiving trousers and dresses from the wardrobe and use the items with real non-elastic waistbands.6 -

Thanks guys.
I keep feeling sick to my stomach (it feels like being sea sick) occasionally during the day but I am a lot better. I kept texting a paramedic I used to know throughout this year. I should really arrange to meet him face to face after this pandemic situation is more under control instead of just asking him for medical advice!
I do feel a lot more mentally prepared for lockdown this time. I hope a lot of us do as last time was so surreal as we didn't know what was going to happen.
My husband and I have so many films and TV shows we haven't watched. We are lucky in a way as we are living in a time where there is so much interesting content online.
We are going to watch this film tomorrow.'Searching' Review: High-Tech Thriller Delivers Old-Fashioned Chills - Rolling Stone I watched a trailer for that film quite a while back while I was in the dentist waiting room. This is the time to catch up with films and TV I have missed.
I'm going to start using my light box tomorrow and also finish my horror computer game.
Not much fabbing going on, though. I'm afraid.I did take off my nail varnish on my fingernails and redo a nude polish tonight.

I think not buying unhealthy food is a good start sft. I'd add in a meal plan as well. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. I just plan in 7 dinners and buy in ingredients (like eggs, fruit and oats) that are good for breakfasts and decide what I fancy on the day. The dinners can be moved around and I mostly cook extra for 'leftover' lunches but soup, jacket potatoes, omelettes and tinned fish are easy lunches too. I think it all helps, not just to keep weight in check but to have a structure.
I think you'd probably call the cuisine on Wednesday modern British chanie. It's a country pub. I'll do a link because you'll be able to work out where it is from the city centre.

You really haven't had much luck healthwise lately Wednesday. I'm sure you'll contact your GP if you need to but otherwise I think trying to get out on good days is a good plan. I'm not sure I could watch some of the scary stuff that you and your DH enjoy but. you're right, w are so much better off when staying in with all the media available.
My hair appointment is this afternoon, last dance class for a while tomorrow, eating out on Wednesday and then I'll address myself to how to manage the next month...at least.☹

Good morning lovely ladies.....Sorry to hear you still aren't feeling too good Wednesday. Look after yourself, healthy eating, a bit of exercise, some fresh air, sleep and rest. And of course Fabbing to make you feel good about yourself. And yeah, reading, tv, films - whatever it takes to keep our spirits up.Managed a nice walk yesterday and an hour in the garden before the rain hit.Fun and games this Morning. A neighbours gazebo landed on my roof, ripping off a number of slates. They managed to get it off my roof ok, and I rang my trusty little odd job man who came and fixed some slates back on. Luckily I just so happened to have enough spare ones to effect a repair. I hope he coughs up the cost. I don't see why I should be liable.I have to ask myself what kind of fool leaves out a flimsy temporary gazebo over the winter. Mind, speaking to him he did strike me as being a sandwich short of a picnic. 😂🤣. So he's lost his brand new gazebo and is now liable for repairs to my roof and a few missing slates on another neighbours roof where it also hit. All because he was too dilatory/lazy to either secure it or store it over winter. I made sure I secured and covered up my new awning several weeks ago, as well as storing away the BBQ and chiminea safely.Anyway at least I got my roof fixed quickly before any further storms hit.Whilst waiting for my odd job man, I did some tai chi and a short Bollywood dance routine. I hadn't done any proper exercise all last week so time to get back on it. Have cancelled my massage and am not going to bother trying to get my hair cut. It will do for now and DS1 can give it a trim if necessary. He's getting quite a dab hand at hair cutting.Stay safe everyone, keep well and happy.10

maman have a lovely meal with your family.LL I shudder to think at the damage the flying gazebo caused. Kind of reminds me of Dorothys house flying around OZ.
I took a cheeky extended lunch break today. I popped to town to pick up my purchase from next - a jersey biker jacket. It’s a keeper. I have wanted a biker jacket for a while, but I have big boobs and broad shoulders and back, so it’s difficult to find a good fit. The jersey material means it fits nicely.
It made me realise I’m seriously lacking in what Audrey from Putting Me Together calls completer pieces and I think I will benefit from having a few more
https://www.puttingmetogether.com/how-to-put-an-outfit-together/I then hot-footed it to the beauticians for eyebrow threading and underarm and leg waxing, ready for lockdown.7 -
Hair is done and I am really pleased with it and booked an appointment for 22nd December so hope everything is open by then. I also managed to get a hygienist and dentist appointment in a couple of weeks and got DH a chiropodists appointment for Wednesday. I need to pick up a month's medication for both of us tomorrow and I suppose I am all set for lockdown then. Oh forgot I am going to go and get some wool tomorrow to keep me occupied. My shopping delivery is booked for Thursday and I hope the panic buyers have left enough for me. I'm trying to feel positive but would feel happier if the weather improved, we have had lots of rain and wind for the last ten days. Maybe it will buck up now the kids are back at school.8

That's great that you managed to get a gift to yourself before the shops closed chanie. 😊 I had a quick look at the 'completer pieces'. That's a good concept. I like looking at my wardrobe and putting things together that you wouldn't normally think of doing. My favourite is to wear a sparkly skirt with a woolly jumper or getting more wear out of a 'summer' dress by layering it. I've put the majority of my summery clothes away now but I'm keeping out my black and white wrap dress because it looks good with a long sleeved top underneath, leggings and boots. 😊
I'm pleased with my haircut. It's a bit shorter than usual but it will see me through for a month or more. I asked her not to cut my fringe too much as I can manage that. Not sure I'd have anyone else trimming it LL. Your DS sounds very brave or you are!🤣
I got a compliment at the hairdressers for my fake Skechers! The stylist wanted something that looked good but was comfortable when you're on your feet all day so admired my Shoezone bargains. 😀 She was wearing something similar but with opaque tights and a short skirt so that's another idea for putting an outfit together.8 -
Chanie.....nice link. I must be getting it right, because I have several "completer" pieces. Never heard that expression before. But I too use jackets, cardigans and what she calls "vests" to pull outfits together. Nice to know I'm on the right track.Your biker jacket sounds great. I lusted after one but didn't feel that black leather was right for me.....Thought it might make look a bit "mutton". 😂. In the end I found a fake snakeskin print in that soft micro pore fake suede, it works really well. Youthful and fun without being too young or making me look silly. My neighbour has already paid me for my roof repairs, so alls well that ends well. Still windy here, hope there are no more flying objects.8
