Very pleasing was that I wore my Phase 8 black dress (CS bargain) from pre Covid and it fitted beautifully.
I do admire your thirst for knowledge and improvement LL and Wednesday but I think I’m more of an escapist. That’s when I’m not winding myself up listening to political news and comment although sometimes the news from the US is like a comedy.🤣
I did giggle when Donald Trump said something like he knows much more about wind than Joe Biden.2025 GOALS

savingfortomorrow said:wednesday- that is profound. We race like we are competing with thousands of others when alas we are just following our own path.
Oh yes, I had a nice surprise as I found £3600 that I had totally forgotten about as it was a bank account in my husband's name. That is quite bad as I handle the finances!
Oh well, it means that we definitely have enough money if we wanted to move house next year. I think we will still wait until 2022 when hopefully he will retire but who knows what is going on with Covid and the effect it will have in the long term!
I'm about to go and frame a couple more vinyl records and then have a nice lunch of crackers, vegan cheese, salad and some clementines.

It’s tough having all your plans cancelled sheila. We’re still in Tier 1 here but there’s this feeling of impending doom as if every time we do something socially it could be the last for a while.
We were supposed to be going to Wales with GC this week but obviously that is off, then DS was due to visit but he is in lockdown so can't travel, or is it not advised to travel? So many rules now but anyway he isn't coming. It all feels a bit bleak and the weather is awful. I feel so sorry for people arriving for a week's holiday in half term as it is tipping it down and the wind is howling.
Well I bet that's cheered everyone up, I'll go and keep my misery to myself. Hope everyone is having a better week than me.8 -
So sorry your plans were cancelled Sheila and Pixie our friends were due to go to Wales this weekend, such a shame as it's half term.
Completely agree with you about the news from the US Maman, you'd be hard pressed to make it any funnier.
I have been watching the Trump Show and really enjoying it (probably not the right word!) but the man is unbelievable.
The weather here is pretty grim too I've decided to do some online Xmas shopping this afternoon for the grandchildren.
Even though we are still in Tier 1 it does feel as though things are closing in and agree that it is a feeling of impending doom.
Poor people in Wales can't even buy a birthday card or pair of socks how ridiculous is that, pretty sure Boris won't follow that route.

I'm Welsh and have family there. It's my SIL's birthday next week so I wrote 'Enjoy yourself but keep it legal' on her card. Under other circumstances a comment like that would be full of innuendo but I know she's going to find it hard to not meet up with her children and grandchildren. ☹️7

Good evening lovely ladies.Love that dress Maman, very pretty.
Wednesday.....Wow. Forgotten money.......😂. That was a nice surpriseSheila and Pixie. What a shame all your plans for family get togethers have been thwarted. How disappointing. And You're right, the grim weather really doesn't help.I'm exhausted. It's lovely being able to help my family so much and I feel very gratified to know that I am being of service to them and that I have been able to make their lives easier, but oh my days, I am so tired. 😂🤣.I'm just resting on the sofa now and I intend to have an easy day tomorrow......ready for the onslaught next week. 😁I mentioned my pretend sister and brother a couple of weeks ago. Sadly my pretend brother died yesterday. I do wish I could have seen him one more time but alas it just wasn't possible. Hey ho, it's for the best, he was very ill but he's free now.I have very fond memories of him. I adored him. He was 9 years older than me, handsome, glamorous, clever, charming and witty - but, as if that wasnt enough, he was also kind, generous and always very supportive to me. He was one of the few people who really knew the reality of my surreal childhood and how difficult life could be with my father. He may not have been "blood" but he always had my back and more than once he provided a safe haven for me when I needed one.Don't forget the clocks tonight. Winter draws on. 😉9 -

so sorry for your loss LL.I must remember about the clocks. Just been out for a meal with my youngest Daughter. A lovely Greek restaurant, food was nice, we had a good catch up. We had just finished and a poor man rushed past projectile vomiting! it was all over my Daughter's coat which was on the back of her chair, all over the floor and worse still all over the people on the next table, in her hair, on her coat, and even in her partners eye!!!!!3

Sorry for your loss LL. Thinking of you.
Thanks for the reminder about the clocks. I'll put mine back.... to January. 🤣5 -
LL sorry for your loss
Hello Ladies,
I managed to get over 11 hours sleep last night. Yet, thanks to the fatigue I still suffer from after recovering from Covid-19, I still woke up feeling tired.
I am cooking stewing steak with red pepper, mushrooms, red onion and sliced carrots in gravy for dinner later and I will boil some potatoes to go with the stewed steak.7
