Well I think I deserve a gold star or a medal, we had another plumbing problem so I was up early as plumber said he'd come on his way to the job he booked. It was only a small job and he was gone by 7.30 am. I then did some tidying up, washing up, put a wash on and then I mowed the front and back lawns. I'm hoping that is the last of the plumbing issues as I've had enough of them now and I hope the grass doesn't grow till next spring because I've had enough of that as well. I suspect Tidying up, washing up and doing the washing will unfortunately continue as normal although as we are in lockdown maybe we could just turn the heating up and do away with clothes, does that sound like a good idea?
I think I might be losing the plot.7 -
Good morning lovely ladies.Very foggy here this morning but nice and sunny now. Aiming to take the air later.I went to Aldi first thing, it was just like a normal day, brisk rather than overly busy. It's a newish store, opened about a year ago on a new housing estate, in a little shopping complex. A few weeks ago a Greg's opened next door.....Its always busy, especially with workers and "white van" tradespersons. Today was no exception so obviously plenty of workers around. There is also a Costa Coffee, with both indoor and outdoor seating areas and a drive through. The drive through bit was rammed, loads of cars queuing for coffee. So again, I can't say as I've noticed less activity this time around. This lockdown does seem less strict.6

We went out today to our local NT property - house closed but gardens are open and we had to pre-book. Was lovely as the sun was shining, but it was very windy. We had takeaway coffee and cake. We then went to the garden centre to buy peanuts for the bird feeders, it was like a ghost town. Popped into Sainsbogs for a few bits and again, it wasn't as busy as normal. Now safely back home.Debt free and Keeping on Track7

Thanks for the information Mrs Porridge . I realised that NT was opening its gardens but didn't realise you had to prebook for that. Useful to know. 😊7

Hello Ladies,
It is much colder here in London. I went to Lidl in Peckham yesterday and even though I was wrapped up warm with leather gloves, a faux fur scarf and my leather jacket, I still felt the chill. I have dug out my faux fur cloche hat to wear for future trips to get top up shopping. I also went to the Post Office in Camberwell and posted my 4 sisters their Christmas presents.
I was really surprised and pleased to find that I have lost another 2 pounds in weight. I am now 15 stones 13lbs.
I made some changes to my Talk Talk landline/broadband/TV package this month, so from next month it will be reduced by £12 a month.
My new M & S socks arrived yesterday and they are super soft cotton socks. They are black with shades of pink and white stars and stripes.

Yes it is chillier here, but lovely and sunny where I am this morning.
I was listening to a podcast about Wim Hof who is dubbed the Iceman. He advocates using cold therapy and breathing techniques to gain better health. I used to get severe migraines and also have fibromyalgia and they are two of the health problems he says his method can help. The cold therapy is supposed to reduce inflammation in your body amongst other things, including boosting your immune system. People used to think he was a kook but science has over the years backed what he was saying. It made me remember that I was going to get whole body cryotherapy (like a sauna but with cold instead of heat) when I had fibromyalgia as I read that was meant to help so it must be based on the same science.
I was thinking that as I had costochondritis last month I obviously must still have inflammation in my body. I'm going to start with a hot shower and turn it to cold at the end. I'm going to set three minutes on my phone and see how long I can do it for!Wish me luck, lol.
What are the benefits of the Wim Hof Method?

I keep being surprised by how many new clothes I have. I keep looking in my wardrobe and finding tops I forgot I bought. It was the weeks I went out to charity shops again and I really did buy a lot of clothes in a short space of time!7 -
Well done on your weightloss sugarbaby and especially that milestone of seeing a new number on the scales. 😀
Cold therapy is proven Wednesday. Footballers are often given ice baths after games to help their muscles recover.
It's quite mild here (14 degrees and sunny). We went out for a walk. It was only for about 45 minutes but at least we were out in the fresh air. I wore my duvet coat but really a short jacket would have been enough so I just left my coat open.
Not much fabbing going on here other than my usual skin care routines. I'm having my usual Saturday, listening to the radio in the kitchen while I do some cooking and general pottering about. When I was working we had to get all the chores and entertainment squeezed into the weekend but now we can choose to go out midweek instead. Today I'm cooking up some brown rice for the freezer. I prefer brown rice but it takes relatively long to cook so I find it easier to do a large pan and freeze in portions. It's a bit like making my own microwave pouches. I do the same with pilau.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. 😊6 -
Yes, I was going to say about athletes and ice baths.
I could only stand 1 minute under the cold water. I think tomorrow I will just wet my body with cold water and not my head and hair as it was too cold. The pains in my rib cage do feel a bit better as well.
We were talking about moving house and I am going to include a couple of other coastal areas to my Rightmove alerts. We were going to move to the Southend area but Covid has made me think that I wouldn't mind being further from London. We are going to look at Brighton and Bournemouth too.
I just went for a walk. I'm not noticing it looking any less busy at all.2025 GOALS

Sugarbaby I have those socks, they are lovely and soft and they wash well. Well done on the weight loss you are doing well.
We had a picnic lunch by the beach again today, it wasn't so nice and sunny but nice to be out and see the kids playing and having fun.
Biden declared President Elect, I hope they give us a break from it now although I suppose that just leaves more room for Covid and Brexit. Oh for a normal world.8 -
I just hope that someone (maybe his daughter?) tells Trump to stop digging before he drags the presidency further into disrepute. ☹️7
