Hello Ladies,
It is a scorching hot day today in South London.
I cooked some peri peri chicken breasts in the oven, so that I can have them with salad for various meals throughout the week. Having a chicken breast with so much spicy flavours really makes the salad zing.

maman said:The Range is a strange shop pixie. It's on my list of shops I go to every few months for a browse when I have time and I'm in that part of the city. I find Home Bargains, B&M, The Range, Dunelm, Wilkos, TK Maxx, many £ shops and other than my usual supermarkets fit into that category. They're places that I stock up on certain things but don't need to go to regularly. I find you have to search for the hidden gems IYSWIM. Many of my lampshades came from The Range and they do good mirrors and some good fabrics especially vinyl table covers. I also like a quick browse around their kitchen stuff as they often have a better range of bowls and things.
Today I have been to a charity shop and bought a little chest of drawers for the spare bedroom, it is to help with sorting out some of the "stuff" we are trying to organise. I hope we won't need it longterm but things have to go somewhere while we go through the process and I wasn't up for paying £200 or £300 for new ones.7 -
another busy day for steps, running around a big school then dog walk after !Is anyone here a member of M and S premuim club? I had email a couple of months ago about the vouchers informing me that they were re starting taking the payments and I would have the new vouchers by end of August. I notice a payment taken 2/9. I just rang and got a foreign call centre, they didnt seem sure. I just hope that they havent got lost in the post. I am not worried if no one else has received theirs5

I was inspired after reading those blogs and watching all those YT videos yesterday. I am following the advice and getting a new look.
I am going to be going out again eventually so it's quite a good time to experiment trying on new outfits when I'm indoors so much.
I have ordered new clothes and some in different colours to my usual. Tan ankle boots, a tan bag to match, black skinny jeans, an animal print dress, a leopard print bag, a black dress, some new necklaces, new leggings, some slip on shoes like my skechers but burgundy and white, a purple blazer and a red checked shirt. I also got a new box for my jewellery and some burgundy tights.
I got my husband some new tops in grey, khaki and red as he usually wears black all the time.6 -
Wednesday your new outfits sound very chic. I hope you both enjoy wearing them.

Thanks Chanie.
I'm quite excited to try out the new clothes combinations when they arrive. This blog was very helpful as she explains how to put outfits together. I was getting into a bit of a rut with the navy theme. I need a few more bits but I'm hoping to find them at the chazzer on Monday. I will put some links if anyone wants to read them.

hello lovely ladies.Wednesday I loved your post. And you must be psychic, because that is exactly what I'm going to do. I too have been watching videos and reading blogs and I feel inspired to completely overhaul my wardrobe and my image. Your purchases sound great, lots of colour.
My "sister" send me an updated photo. OMG. I need to up my game,😂. ....She puts me to shame. I can just hear her bossing me about and telling me off for allowing myself to become too safe with my clothes choices. Telling me I need to step out of my comfort fort zone and allow myself to blossom. She is just the kick up the derrière I need.My husband used to encourage me to experiment and try out new looks. I loved going clothes shopping with him, he had such an eye for style and he always knew what would suit me. When he got sick I had no money for clothes and although my finances are now quite healthy I think I have rather got out of the habit of spending on myself, always going for the safe and somewhat bland options. There is a huge difference between classic and too cautious and I think I have definitely been too cautious in some of my choices. I think I have become quite timid.Well all that stops. Whilst I am in lockdown I am going to go through my clothes very carefully and just toss the ones that are dull, boring and that have that unmistakable air of "old lady". Out they go. Time for the caterpillar to morph into a butterfly.Had my haircut yesterday, and I love it. It's the 4th time this hairdresser has done it and this time he's really nailed the look I was aiming for. He said he had been taking it slowly, getting to know my hair. He did say its difficult hair.....baby fine and not as much of it as either he or I would like. He said getting the best out of it was a balancing act, too long and it looks thin and sparse, too short and it looks like I hardly have any hair. He did say the colour was "glorious" though. (the old flirt😂)
Anyway I finally have the precision cut I was hoping for and it looks chic and stylish....(it also makes me look younger) 🥂💃. So now a good wardrobe clear out to compliment my new image. And start wearing some of that jewellery that was locked in my safe. 😂7 -

I keep thinking that I don't know what the future holds and we are in a position where we are very financially secure (no mortgage or debt) but we might not able to have this much disposable income when we move house so I may as well take chances with purchases now. I spent about £250 all together but I think it will be worth it to feel fresher and revitalised.
I also thought I am not going to wait until I lose weight and I'm going to dress for the way I look now. I remember reading that in the Gok Wan book, actually.
Your new hairstyle sounds very fab.2025 GOALS
