No, Maisie - it’s not easy. I don’t bake but I like my wine😁
I received a ‘phone call from my dentist’s practice this morning. I have an appointment in mid-October for a check-up and hygienist appointment, which had been postponed from June due to Covid. In one respect I’m relieved as I’ve had a lot of work done and I need my dentist more than he needs me but I’m not looking forward to it.

I'm another that doesn't bake but love my wine. 🍷😁
I know that bloated feeling free. Despite being the weight I want to be, stomach problems sometimes make me feel frumpy. I hate clothes that feel too tight, it's a constant reminder. Another Van Dal shoe fan. I know sugarbaby loves those too.
I've been at my target weight for 9 years now maisie. I only go to SW every 8 weeks so that I can maintain access to the website. As you're so close to target you'll be fine to lose those last few pounds on your own and we have a good SW thread on here if you need any help. 😊6 -
So.....this time the project will be me, doing things for pleasure, enjoyment and personal development. Ive decided I want to do some kind of studying to keep my brain working. I'm not bothered about gaining any formal qualifications or passing exams, it's just for my own satisfaction. I'll start looking over the next few days, ideally I want them to be free or low cost of course.Has anyone done anything like this.......what are your experiences, Can you recommend any good providers. I would love to pick your brains, 🤪.I think I would like to do courses in Lifecoaching, Nutrition and maybe a language. I could do with brushing up my Spanish. I have a smattering of Italian, French and Spanish and would love to improve all 3. But I think that's rather ambitious. So for now I think Spanish would be the most useful - just in case I ever get to visit Venezuela. The family keep inviting me and I've also been invited to Costa Rica.I just need to get over my fear of flying......😉6

My late Husband hated people calling Radio Amateurs Cbers too purplepixie and freetodoaslike!Anothere nice day, busy in school, dog walk, swim so just over 21k steps again. You would think that I would lose weight. I put 5 or 6 pounds on in lockdown, one pair of my work trousers feel snug! hopefully it will come off slowly, I will even be happy with half a pound a week.I bought a big pack of loo rolls on tuesday, I have a 2l long life milk in. I think I will pick a few extras up even though I'm not too low on tins and stuff. Can you imagine queuing at supermarkets on cold winter evenings!6

My new job want me to start Monday, but I said that wasn’t possible as I had some things to attend to. So we have provisionally agreed for me to start the week after next. Im now trying to fit in all the tasks I want to complete before I start. Although the children are back at school, the school day means I only have 6 hours a day and that flies by.
I ran into my hairdresser at the school and she suggested i get my hair done before I start my new job. I was putting it off for financial reasons, but it doesn’t look too bad so it wasn’t a hardship. It does make sense to get it done before I start working, so I’m pleased she talked me into it.5 -

It was brilliant, why had I not seen it before.🤷♀️ Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela was just amazing and Matt Damon as the captain of the rugby team was very believable. (He'd obviously bulked up for the role). Im no sports nut as you know but I absolutely l loved it. Of course it wasn't really about the rugby as such but a clear demonstration of how sport can help heal a nation and give it pride and self respect.Im off to bed now with John Lennon.....ok a biography. 😂. He was my first crush. 😉.G'night all.9

good morning everyone, I haven’t been on for a week or so to post, but reading along. it’s been fast moving this week 😀. LL i endorse futurelearn, set up by OU. Great courses on there, my hubble did a creative writing course and has spent last year writing a novel! He loved the course and did it with a cohort too. A lot of top u iversities do free courses now, I did a psychology one with .standford Uni in USA (one of their red brick unis), and UCLA, Harvard and others do them. Between those unis that should keep you going🤣🤣
I just had a weekend away with a friend, and in the guest house we stayed in, they had out lots of toiletries for us. one was a tesco facial scrub with aloe vera and apricot in. it was just a damp yr face, rub in in upward strokes and rinse of, not a leave on for 10 mins type. Does anyone know how often you can use this type ? LL? with yr expertise? my face was so super soft after use, I want to get one for regular use. felt very fabby! After losing a miraculous stone over lockdown, I took brake shoes off for last week, and scales weighing 1lb heavier, not surprising as I hadn’t more carbs and ice cream. Need to get back on plan for swift loss before it decides to make home and multiplies🤣😂5 -
ps. LL, that was a very moving account of yr Dad after yr mum died, thank you for being so vulnerable and real with us.4
