I was just saying on another thread that my husband got a letter today from Imperial College London to take part in a home antibody test so the government can find out how many people in England have had the virus that causes Covid-19. I didn't get a letter to do the test as it said his name was picked at random. It said it's not 100% accurate but he will still do it.
I have committed to exercising everyday so I have done 20 minutes yesterday and today on my trampoline. I am starting to feel very achy in my lower back and thighs and I think it is the months of sitting down indoors so much! I need to nip that in the bud with getting some proper exercise each day. I don't think just walking is enough for my body.
I've also started a morning meditation routine to start my day before I look online.
My husband has the dentist this afternoon and then he is picking up my altered dresses and skirts for me. We watched a pretty dire horror film last night. It started off well so we got sucked in. We might watch another film tonight and hope it is better!

Well today started well, we decided to go into local town and have breakfast out, literally out as outside beachside cafe. It was lovely, sat and watched the surfers and paddleboarders, it was warm and sunny and lovely to have something to eat that I hadn't prepared. Sat drinking latte and we were there for nearly an hour, lots of space so no problems with social distancing. Got home and did a few bits, changing beds and putting a wash on. So far so good, then husband had a bad fall and he is sort and bleeding, we should probably go to hospital but he won't, why are men so stubborn? Hurt my arm getting him up. I feel like crying, don't know why I suppose I'm just shaken up.
Sorry to bring the mood down.
LL you sound like me, I broke my shoulder many years ago, fell downstairs after decorating and I'm sure you will be relieved to know I sheltered the bag of rubbish I was carrying and it was totally undamaged! Think I'm a bit mad. A couple of years ago I broke two ribs with a bad cough - awful isn't it. I had to have manipulation under a general as my shoulder totally froze and it is still painful, maybe I should see a chiro? Something to think about.7 -
Sore and bleeding, not sort!4

Pixie. So sorry to hear about your husband. Hope all is well.As for your ribs and shoulder. Do they bother you. If so maybe get them looked at too.
Im learning that whilst fractures do heal in time they don’t always heal correctly and then that just stores up trouble further down the line.I’m just hoping I will see some improvement and that the damage is reversible. The clinic assures me they can help.Feel a bit rough today so just taking it easy. Intended going shopping but don’t really feel up to it. It can wait until tomorrow. Nothing spoiling.Wednesday. Had to laugh about the film sucking you in. 🤣. Watched a brilliant film last night. Winters Tale with Colin Farrell. Found it very confusing at first and nearly gave up but I persevered and really enjoyed it in the end. It was unusual and quirky. The other night I watched The Two Popes. Being a lapsed catholic I don’t really follow the church nowadays so didn’t know their story. Found it fascinating.Easy dinner and hopefully a nice early night. I’m shattered.8 -
LL I have no problem with ribs but 30 years on the shoulder hurts, as an example if I am taking curtains down or putting them up I will probably sit down and have a little cry midway as the pain is so bad (I have curtains that really need a wash lol) I can't blow dry my hair so it is a problem. I suppose I've just felt after the manipulation and it was moving that I should be happy to have movement. I might speak to DD later, she has used a local chiropractor and I know she was pleased with her. After my experience with my hip/pelvis I don't know why I haven't thought of it. When I broke my shoulder I also dislocated it so that probably didn't help.
Husband is a bit shaken and lots of cuts and scrapes and a ruined shirt. Fortunately biggest GS was here, don't know how I'd have got him up by myself. GS is a bit shocked I think, grandfather being disabled is normal to him but he's never seen him lying on the floor bleeding before.7 -
Sending you a big hug pixie. What a dreadful thing to happen and after such a lovely start to the day. Hopefully the worst thing is that you're shaken up (both of you) and will recover soon.6
