You certainly do deserve a day of rest chanie. All that lovely work, you need time to enjoy it. You must be so pleased with how your home is looking. 👏👏👏
The weather looks quite good for the coming week. 🌞😁
Big day for me tomorrow. I'm having my hair cut at last. 💇♀️😁 Not had it done since February. I had an appointment for a blow dry and a tidy up on March 19th as I was meant to be going to a black tie do but it was cancelled so I didn't bother. How foolish was that! 🤔
I'm a bit scared as I've got used to the length and it'll feel strange.
We've booked to go to Petworth on Tuesday. It's one of the few NT houses they've opened as an experiment. They have super art there so I'll enjoy that. 🙂6 -
chanie said:we are getting a kitten!!! DD really wants a pet so we are going to surprise her. We know of someone who needs to re home some kittens and it makes sense to get one while I’m at home. I’m very excited.
I'm vegan so I love animals. We need pics.xx

Maman I enjoyed getting my hair done. It wasn’t so much about my hair, but a sign of ‘the new normal’. Hopefully, you will feel fab after your appointment, whatever you have done.
wednesday will definitely share pictures of the cat.Tomorrow will (hopefully) be spent finishing off the painting so that we can get the house back in order. Me and OH have agreed our next task is to reorganise the shed, as we need to make better use of the space. OH has lots of old CDs/DVDs, tape cassettes, old stereos and computers, which he is reluctant to get rid of. I tried Music Magpie, but a OH refused their offer of 15p a DVD, which I (kind of) understand, but it means we have boxes of stuff cluttering up our home. I think I’m going to have to try a Marie Kondo intervention and get him to ‘thank’ his DVDs so he can let them go 😂.6 -
I feel your pain chanie. My DH is a great collector, stuff everywhere. ☹
We (that's the Royal we) are clearing out our rickety garage at the moment prior to demolition. My role has been to book the car in each week for a visit to the tip! So, at least a car load is cleared every week.
The sun is shining here. It's the first week of the school holidays so pleased for people having a 'staycation' . I've dug out another summer dress today. It makes a change not to be constantly wearing leggings.6 -

Omg LL what a little poppet! She's so cute! 😍😍CHANIE, a kitten will be lovely for the kids
I grew up begging and begging for a dog, but Mum never caved in .Every Xmas n Birthday I would be so upset when I didn't get one
First Hubby , DD's Dad, hated animals ( I should've known then !) , so when I got rid of him, I got my first pup Ben in 92, and have had various numbers of dogs ever since .
Now I've just got Bonnie left, but omg it's like having 3 dogs. 😂😂😂😂"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Lovely sunny day here. I've been out for a walk and it is very busy, we have been so lucky in the south west with low infection rate but with all the crowds I fear we might take our turn anytime now. I know people are so worried but I can't begrudge people their holidays after the lockdown, the little ones are so excited off to the beach with their buckets and spades.
I'm another one with a collector/hoarder for a husband. GS has promised to spend part of the summer holidays helping him to sort it out, I can't face it anymore as I have done it sooooooooooo many times so I'm handing it over to the two of them. I suppose I'll be doing the tip runs and selling on ebay but I can cope with that. Wish me luck.9 -
Good morning lovely ladies.Candy......Bon looks such a character. Gorgeous eyes.Frustrating Morning. Got Up, shifted a load of rockery stones, got myself organised and hauled myself off for my first chiro treatment. Just as I Was arriving and parking up the car I got a call cancelling my appt. Oh well I will load up on painkillers. And then mow the lawn instead. And then, no doubt, pay for it later. 😱.
Re clutter and hoarding......I sometimes feel like King Canute......I just don't know where it comes from. It takes vigilance to keep on top of it and it really can be quite daunting. I can understand why people just shut their eyes and ignore it. But I'm determined. This time I mean business, no more tinkering around the edges. 😂.Maman. I do envy you your husband at times. You make such a good team. I really can't manage to take my junk to the tip this time, most of the stuff is either Too heavy or unwieldy for me so I'm just going to hire a skip and have done. The reason I was shifting rockery stones is because they were stacked by the side of the house so meant The decorator couldn't get access. I have decided to keep the stones and use them in the garden.....next year. So I shifted the smaller ones to an unused shady spot next to the shed. The boys will move the heavier ones. Now I can order the skip and ring the decorator.I have ordered some labels from a company called Vintage Cash Cow for some bits and bobs, broken jewellery, coins etc. And I was reading about a company called Ziffit for books, cds etc. Not sure how they compare with Music Magpie. I have used Music Magpie in the past, found them ok. I admit you don't get much but then you never really do, unless it's something collectible which is probably best then going to auction. I have got some stuff for auction at some point.I have had mixed results with ebay.......In the end I got so fed up with it, that I paid a friend to do it for me, giving her 30% of the takings. She was a stay at home mum And she built up quite a little business, selling for other people and taking a bit of commission. It worked well for her.Right....a spot of lunch and dig out the lawnmower. I really don't fancy it at all. I think next year I might just get rid of the lawn and go for a nice simple easy maintenance Japanese style gravel garden. My 70th birthday present to me...........😂.8 -
Cute kitten and pup!
My husband is like that too, he has hundreds of vinyl records, two sets of record decks and lots of random other stuff. We don't really have the storage here, maybe in our new place we will have more space, hopefully.
I have the vet this week as my cat has developed a health condition and also my husband had to make a dentist appointment as he cracked a tooth on some popcorn the other day. I have my Zoom appointment with my psychologist too. I'm so glad I have had her support during the whole lockdown period. That was very good luck and timing!
I want to go out to the local chazzers next week. I did buy some more fabric dye so I'm hoping to find white or pale clothes to dye again. I wanted to get some new makeup from Superdrug too if it is now open. I'm down to my last two lipsticks.
