Moll it is horrible for your GD going through that. I don't know Sheffield well but I know someone who had twins at 24 weeks, they were blue lighted to Sheffield Children's Hospital, poor mum didn't see them for over a week. They had very complex surgery that saved their lives, they were on a knife edge for months but they are now healthy kids at school, well breaking up today but you know what I mean. I think your GD is in very good hands and I hope all goes well. Two of mine had surgery as kids, not serious but still worrying, and I think handing a child over is so hard. I do hope all goes well.7

Good morning lovely ladies.....Moll just wanted to say I am so sorry to hear your poor granddaughter Is going through this. Poor little sausage. As you know I don't live a million miles away from Sheffield and although I have no personal dealings with The hospital myself it does enjoy a very good reputation. Hope all goes well. It's a glorious day here. I'm going to enjoy it.7

Front door, inherited the colour....it has to go. 😂8

Side door to kitchen, again to the front elevation. As you can see both doors have been very badly painted so need stripping right back. The cream render is looking pretty grim, especially as I've had two new front windows and whoever did the cream paint job needs shooting because there is cream paint all over the brickwork. Plus the grab rails and number signs have to go. So the whole exterior needs work. I'm going to change the cream to white and then the brickwork to either black or dark grey. Not quite decided on the doors yet. I would love to remove the ironmongery and door furniture, strip of the paint and Restore it to its former glory. So as you can see a big job. Might just get the render done by a professional it because it involves ladder work and then do the rest myself to save money. It's not especially difficult but very time consuming and labour intensive which of course means it will cost a fair bit. The more I can do myself the better. 😉.

The door will be lovely when you do all that LL. Did you buy a house from one of your sons or am I mixing you up with someone else?6

I did, but not this one.I helped DS2 renovate his house when my husband died in 2014. I moved in with him once it was habitable. Then he met his girlfriend and I still hadn't found the right house for me so I bought his house off him Until I found the right property.I moved in here in October 2018. A fair bit of work but at least this one was habitable. 😂. I am taking my time. It's pretty much up to scratch now, mainly the exterior and the garden to finish. Not decided quite what to do with the third attic bedroom. Whether to just Upgrade the insulation and then decorate or whether to go the whole hog and re-site the staircase to address the layout. Depends on the costs really, I don't need any extra room. I need to get it all costed out before I make a final decision. Might just make the minor improvements and leave anything structural for the next owners. It's not my forever home.......I'm getting itchy feet. 😂🤣8

Mine is a brown upvc door, very dull too.
I have ordered a few bits from George as my sandals broke the other day after ripping the roof off the lean to. I jumped down from the storage box I had been standing on and one sandal fell apart! I just bought some basics like vest tops, sandals and new sunglasses. I did get a smarter black and pink vest top for only £5 that I will wear to the restaurant when we go away for the weekend. I did buy some washable masks too.
After being very lazy for quite a few weeks I just did a 6000 step walk.I remembered to put on Google Fit for once. It's really hot out. If it wasn't so hot I would have stayed out longer.
