Hi fabbers,I have been reading the thread but haven’t posted for a few days as I have been busy painting the house. The hallway and dining room have been refreshed bar some pictures that need hanging. I painted the door frame and door today and will give it the second coat tomorrow. I’m pleased with how it looks so far. Following a couple of weeks of doing nothing other than Netflix, I’ve enjoyed doing my DIY and I have a couple of other areas I would like to spruce up over the coming weeks.I also managed to get a quick wax on Tuesday. I Never thought I would ever say I was looking forward to a wax, but I felt great afterwards. I have realised that I really missed being able to have my treatments, during lockdown. I’m going to attempt another eyelash lift this weekend as they hsve started to drop again.6

Good morning lovely ladies.Wow. I feel amazing. After posting yesterday I crashed out and slept for 3 hours on the sofa, then kept dozing in front of the tv all evening, then slept for a full 8 hours last night. So the treatment has definitely done something. 🤣. my shoulder feels easier too. A great beginning.Chanie....how exciting. Doesn't it feel great when you fab the house. I love it when everything is freshly painted And looks pristine. I am going to stock up on paints and diy materials next week ready for either the next lockdown or the winter when I'm stuck indoors anyway.Today I am going to venture out to Next (I have a voucher to spend, birthday gift) and whilst there I might pop into TK Maxx if it's not too busy.Have a great day.8

meant to say.....Moll I think the pool at the hotel should be fine. In fact we have a nice hotel and spa not far from here, very reasonably priced and I was thinking of signing up. I would think they are probably less busy than a municipal pool but whether or not they would be subject to the same water testing rules I couldn't say.I would ask the staff what times they recommend......I'm guessing during the day when Hotel guests are out and about or at work. Maybe they will introduce a Pre booking system anyway so social distancing can be observed. Have a chat with them and maybe pop along for a trial run before you decide. When we had our property in Spain, we had an amazing spa just at the bottom of our street. It was the height of luxury, the water was always lovely and warm, we used to visit regularly in the winter. I can't remember how much it was, quite expensive but you could have weekly or monthly membership as well as annual or day rates, so it was ideal for people like us who were still Mainly UK Based but who spent some of the winter in Spain.I think £300 a year is actually good value, especially if it's a nice place and you can use the facilities several times a week. Would be a shame to give It up if you feel the health benefits.7

Moll I think shopping early for Christmas makes sense, boosting local shops a bit and if we do find ourselves back in lockdown at least it is one less thing to worry about. Back in March I bought easter eggs for GC, birthday presents for family birthdays in April May and June and helped 2 of the GC get a fathers day present for their dad who lives 100 miles away. All were used and all saved worries about what to do. Actually I got the timings pretty good really and I'm now thinking of a September birthday and 3 in November. I went to the local carboot last week for the first time, it was well organised with lots of space and a one way system and lots of local businesses there, craft people and small holdings selling produce, the strawberries are much better than the supermarkets. I might go this week and I've thought of a few things I could get and it feels alot safer than the shops.
The swimming pool is difficult, I don't think I'd fancy it at the moment but then I'm not a very enthusiastic swimmer at the best of times.
I have two of the little GC today, having their first overnight away from home since lockdown. I think the parents are really looking forward to a quiet day and a lie in tomorrow. I guess I will be up at 6 am but I'm usually awake then anyway. Little GD will be bossing me about all day explaining how mummy does it a better way. The wisdom of 3 year olds.
This is an odd one but has anyone noticed birds behaving strangely? We get lots of seagulls, used to drive me mad when we first moved here but I don't notice them now, we also get lots of small birds in the garden but the last few weeks the birds have been fighting alot and we have some really noisy crows that seem to be taking over. Every morning the garden is covered in feathers from the fights. I felt like I was in the film The Birds the other day as I was getting something out of the car, the crows sounded so threatening. It is very odd.8 -
morning everyone, had a quick trip to Tesco then txmakk, rushed home for alarm service guy coming (10am) not showed up yet. Got a pair of shoes in txmaxx £9.99 rrp £35 but not sure believe the rrp?I am a member at our local gym, use it for swimming , it reopens on the 24/7. its a lovely place with spa, equestrian centre, hotel, restaurant x 2 and coffee lounge. The full membership fee is about £78 a month but I get corporate membership through my Nephew's employers family and friends scheme for £34.50 a month. I only really use the pool, but have done pilates and yoga before. You book the classes on app on your phone, apart from swimming where you just turn up! the coffee lounge is really good, I often meet friends there, but it's a place where you can just go on your own, you see several people on their own, just reading or on a lap top! so you don't feel uncomfortable8

I just got my hair cut this morning, finally! It feels so much better.
We tidied up the garden yesterday and my arm is aching from using the jet washer on the paving slabs. I'm going to start doing that every month so it doesn't take as long when I do eventually get around to doing it. We had a lean to that we ripped down as well. It's amazing what you will do when you are that bored.
I bought a new maxi dress from Amazon but it is far too long. I'm not even that short, 5 foot 6, so who knows who they made it for. I going to get it altered in a local place when I go for my walk in a minute.

😂🤣. Wednesday. Yes it's surprising what becomes fascinating when you are bored out of your brain. Can I ask what kind of pressure washer you use, I could do with one.
had a lovely mooch round Next and TKMaxx. Felt so nice to be out and about doing something more "normal". Treated myself to a red sweater from Next £5 in the sale. Spent my birthday voucher on a nice painting for my bedroom. Didn't buy anything in TK Maxx, saw a nice throw, might go back for that next week but want to have a look in Dunhelm first.Going to have a potter in the garden when I've had a little rest.5 -

Front door before. OH sanded it down a few years, but never got around to finishing it. Ideally, we want to replace the door, but we can’t afford to at the moment.(Apologies - not sure why this picture has rotated itself). I need to get a new knocker and keyhole (and remove the masking tape 😂).Here is the start of my gallery wall. I only had to buy the ‘Home sweet Home’ print, so the display was very MSE. I’m going to add more pictures, but I’m going to wait until I find the ‘right’ pictures, so I’m in no rush for now.7
