I’ve made another 11 masks and cut loads more. I’ve started the sewing too. So there will be more. Such a depressing thing to be making. 🙄

    115 / 400.

I’m glad people have been busy. 😁😁

  • OH managed to lose the mask I bought him - so I'll have to make another.
Must be something about the cooler weather - I have started a blanket made of crochet squares. Done 16 squares so far, but not counting them as separate entities - it's using up my wool stash if nothing else.

No real progress to report- I threw a PJ top across the room last week as I couldn't work out the facing, and have cut out some easier projects to do instead. I haven't had chance to sew them up yet, but I have switched the needle to do the jersey t shirts. I have been taking the time to see a few friends and my family before we end up locked down again. My parents are going in to isolation before some little ops, so won't see them for a while after this weekend :(

Hi,good plan to see people emsi.My area is not at risk of lockdown but is surrounded on all sides by those that are.I hope we are more able to be more free by Christmas.
I have knitted a blanket for the African baby hospital I have volunteered knitting for from another thread here. I will not count it as I don't like it and it is too small.Only took a week! I will undo it and use the wool to crochet a blanket.Trouble is I have lost my crochet hook,I have even looked down the back of the settee. In the mean time I am knitting a small blanket to go on a chair in the sittingroom that the cat has decided to sleep on. Whilst looking for the crochet hook I found loads of sewing projects that I need to do.I think hand sewing my friends quilt has turned me to knitting for the time being.I love sewing usually.
I should be having an operation at the end of the month so should have planty of time for crafts during isolation before hand and recovery afterwards.
    Vx

Coming to the end of my arranged visits now Vulpix, and it has been lovely. I've even written a little "diary" entry to try to remember it all over the winter when I will no doubt feel very low.
I've managed to finish 2 UFOs here- a baby bib made out of a scrap to test the pattern, and a pair of PJ bottoms. The PJs are way too big,but my son was happy enough running around the house with them on over his clothes, so no great loss 😂 now at 73/52.
I almost finished a t shirt, but it's been a bit of a disaster really- it was a free pattern, and the neckhole wasn't big enough, so I've had to add some poppers to the neck seam. I then started hemming it, and I've messed one of the sleeve hems up, so I've unpicked, steamed and will try again!
In good using up news, 3 of my friends are expecting next spring, so I will make them a few bits as part of their new baby gifts. I've got two bibs cut out, but have run out of towelling to do the backs with for more- I will try to track down some cheaper plain tea towels or bigger face cloths, as the stuff I bought and was using up was thinner and perfect for the job. I'm sure it will be miles cheaper too!

I think you could bust your total magical, only 7 to go.
Crochet baby blanket finished.I really want to make some Christmas decorations but feel I must make as many blankets as I can for the African baby hospital. perhaps 1 more.Undo the knitted one that I did on the wrong needles and crochet it instead.
    Total 22

Vulpix, I want to make some Christmas decorations too. My stumbling block is I really need to finish off some of my UFOs so I have space. Hoping to finish one or two today, and get the other bib pieces cut out for presents- one friend needed a c-section quite early last time, so she's due at beginning of feb, but could be a Christmas baby if not before! The others are due end of feb, and April, so a little bit of time for them. If I get on really well, I will make some other bits too, but who knows how long it'll actually take me to finish them 😂

I’ve managed to salvage the dress i’d cut out. (The bodice piece was upside down). I found a piece of fabric big enough to sort that. Then I hadn’t been able to start the sewing as my Machine  wouldn’t Sew with shirring elastic. I’ve taken an older more basic machine to be looked at. Which would cost me - but it needed doing. I’ll cut a mask to match. 🤣🤣 so very awful.

I have a sewing retreat booked for next weekend so have been organising some projects for this. It may still be cancelled. But if I cancel I don’t get the money back and I’m unlikely to get any other holiday this year so I’m hoping it still goes on.

I’m counting both things as things achieved towards my target. Small wins I know. But things done.
