Hey all.I’ve had a brief read - it’s lovely to see all of the makes. I’m still working and things have only got harder due to the lock down. (Boo hiss). So I’ve been doing some bits and bobs.I’ve bought and repainted a writing desk to put all of my work stuff in. 7 sets of things used up there. Including mini tins of paint from my stash. Yay.I’ve done some mending (and ironed for the first time in around a year - due to my washer being broken).I’ve got a stack of things I need to get done but am hoping to get some sorted soon.35 made so far.

Hi Nimbo - sounds like you've been very productive. I don't believe in ironing (unless it's part of sewing), so I applaud your 12 month stretch!

I’ve whipped up a pillow case for an L shaped pillow today. Used up a one metre piece of fabric that been in my stash about 8 years. It never would have been used for anything else. Feeling pleased.36 / 400

Two more projects to add
One a purse which was one of my first ever sewing machine trials years ago-finally finished with Velcro and binding around the edges
Second are some painted hearts which I started in autumn, left them half finished for so long but I felt it was time just to get them 'done'.
takes us to 29/52
stay safe everyone!

I’ve chucked a few bits away. Those things that were never going to be finished because they weren’t quite right.40 / 400

Nimbo, I found a project I might have to bin for the same reason. Not sure if I can salvage it yet, so haven't counted it in my figures.
I have had to order some emergency supplies- I need buttonhole elastic to finish a pair of shorts for my son, and new machine needles for stretch fabric and denim (hemming some trousers of his that are out at the knees to make shorts). I tried to find a local shop selling online, but ended up with eBay. I did manage to buy less as the ebay shop didnt have strong denim thread so I will make do without. One site had the needles but not the elastic, another site wanted £8 postage on a £13 order, so eBay it is! Hopefully all will arrive by the end of the week and I can get these done for when the weather is next nice enough.Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025

I hate it when shops charge so much for postage.Today I’ve used some paper tape. And then I’ve lined four drawers with papers. Yay. Not much but five to add to the total.45 / 500.

Today in my sisters crafting endeavours I have taken her to collect a sewing machine from the school she works in. I’ve done nothing myself. But hey ho. Feeling like I’ve helped some one else achieve their crafty goals....

Good news and bad news- good news is 4 projects completed to report- 2 drawstring bags, and 2 pairs of shorts. One pair were hemmed holey jeans, and another were made from scratch, but counting them both as to compete the jeans I had to give my sewing machine a mini service to get it to stop banging. They do make some awful noises when they want to!
The bad news is I enjoyed making the little shorts for young man so much, and they look so nice on, that I've really got the bug now and bought another 18m of fabric to make more with 🤦♀️ every metre is planned for, and I've used up as much of the stash as I can before ordering more (another pair of shorts are sat cut out, waiting to be sewn after naptime). My local bargain fabric shop is selling online, a dangerous discovery. It should make quite a few pairs of pyjamas, t shirts, trousers and shorts, not quite enough for a wardrobe full of the next size up, but not far off. And a pair of dungarees for me 😂
