My mum did some paper piecing at her sewing group and enjoyed it. It's on the list of things to try when I get around to it 😂 she did a lovely quilt at her group, double sized, with lots of different techniques on. That's probably what I'd do. I have my Peter rabbit one to do a small version of (I cut out the base piece for my applique the other day, just need to press on some pieces to applique around).

I didn't manage to do anymore on the teepee, hubby' s car died and he had to have RAC out to fix it. He's now glad he had the extra warranty on his new to him car, he's had it just over a month and something fell off 🤦‍♀️ after all of the faffing, and dealing with a hysterical toddler who would not sleep, I had no time or inclination for sewing yesterday. I'm making time today though!!!

Hope you are having a calmer day emsi. We are doing diy with the wrong tools and too short ladders. What could possibly go wrong. Here is Fifi studying the knitting pattern.

I've finished the teepee- it works, but would work far better with the right size poles. I've tried using 5ft canes, but it really needs 8ft ones- bit of a difference!! I'll still count it as 1 make- so now at 37/52.

Morning all! Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the long weekend. Love the pusscat Vulpix; that's the life!!

I've got a couple of new projects to report. Can't recall if I mentioned the skirt I made at the weekend (ponte roma, teal, lovely). I've also made a headscarf (to cover the grey!) and last night knocked up around 3m of VE day bunting to go in the front window tomorrow. Not sure where that leaves me but it must be close to my target of 10 projects before moving day (which is nowhere in sight!), so I'm thinking I'm going to increase it to 20 projects. Will take some pics this weekend to post soon. Stay safe and happy crafting!

  • Hi all,
I'm now up to 22/100 for this year. Unfortunately I have also given in to lockdown temptation and bought a load of wool. I now need to get all my knitting started and finished!

Morning all, here is a pic of the bunting - was hard to get a good one of the whole lot so went with a single flag (excuse the mucky window!)

I managed to get some 8ft canes for the teepee, my local little garden centre is operating individual browsing spots, or ring and collect, which is brill.
I ironed on some of my Peter rabbit applique this morning, otherwise, no crafting to report this week. Tired all round and toddler is sad and unpredictable, so he's getting lots and lots of attention (He is loving the teepee at least!)
