    Can I join in please.
Was a bit ad hoc during 2019, and knowing what I'm like will probably continue that trait during 2020, but no harm in trying.
I do read every post and take inspiration from everyone.

    Happy New Year everyone!!!

Today will be a good day for me, I have LO's for dinner, breakfast has been eaten and lunch is salad. Menu plan done and money for the week is sorted and put in correct places,

This week I intend going down the lottie to get a couple of leeks to make some soup and have a look what has been happening down there. I will carry on with my knitting, sewing and reading and start doing a bit of yoga (never done it before, but Ive been looking on the tube and fancy doing some of the stretching exercises) and also seeing where I can cut back even further.

Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)

    HAPPY 2020 EVERYONE!!!

The new decade has arrived and it feels great - full of hope and promise for a better future, not just financially, but mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually...

QUESTION: For me this is a) Do I need it? b) Can I afford, it and also c) to learn to recognise unhelpful habits, behaviour and thought patterns and challenge them.

UNLOVED/UNUSED: I am getting together a box, maybe decorate it, and will over the next few months make a concerted effort to examine everything I own, room by room. If anyone saw Marie Kondo's show, she talked about sparking joy, when deciding if to keep an item. I will try and tune into that. When it's full, I will recycle or gift...

EXERCISE: a) Mind - daily Mindfulness/journaling b) Physical - gym 3/week and walks outdoors. This last one in particular is important - and I want to find somewhere local in nature I can spend time in.

SAVINGS: a) Shop around for cheapest groceries b) Buy own brand foods c) Save a regular amount each month to cover bigger expenses later in the year d) Once my Regular Saver ends I will use it to clear a chunk off my remaining debt and then rebuild my EF over time

THANKFULNESS: a) Daily gratitudes b) I am starting a new friends and family address book/birthday reminder book. I have been shocking at making time for old friends and making new ones, I have been so tied up with moving, family commitments, and getting caught up in my own life. This way I can make sure I don't miss their birthdays, and I make time to write to them and keep in touch. I am also taking one weekend a month off from family duties to make space in my own life for friendships to grow.

NSD TARGET: 16 Days. I am allocating set days to shop this month, and have taken all credit cards and store cards and vouchers out of my wallet leaving just the cash for the week. I am less likely to binge-shop if I think I'll be missing out on nectarine points ;) and money off fuel etc.

Not decided on my SuperHero just yet but I am sure he will emerge!!! Hmmm... I like the idea of Phoenix - but a) she is a she (and I am a he!) and b) she was kinda evil...! I'll get back to you on this one haha! ;)

So without further ado, I am off to visit my family and will continue my journals, planning and goal setting when I am home later. Wishing you all a happy, healthy and abundant New Year!!! :)
