After a slow start I have done physio, walked the dogs and done some additional walking with my new poles.

Yesterday the paid stuff was so quiet that I took the opportunity to completely sort my office and do shredding etc. It really had become a dumping ground and I'm looking forward to starting paid stuff in the new year in a tidy space.

Just having a cuppa then I'll finish the dailies.

-Our annual Christmas family party and Secret Santa gift swap was last night; we didn't stay over (for a change) - so nice to wake up in my own bed and have a shower. Sis has phoned; a coat has been left behind and another gone missing - but it's not here with us and we have nothing missing. As I drove back (quiet roads = bliss) I had only 1 glass of Prosecco at the beginning. We played games - Pass the Bomb and 5 minute Rule (both of which I enjoyed as did everyone else I think) and cards for ££. Came home; washer on; DW on. bed.

Now showered and fed. Caught up with Fred. Dizzy - in total agreement with what Piggers said.

Going to be sunny on Monday so I will make sure I have washing to peg out;).

Going to potter today. Mince thawing for potato hash Lancashire style.

  • Morning all, another cold and damp day here. DW unloaded and reloaded,
need to tackle the washing pile, I didn’t realise how much there was until I tried to hide it all last night as we had friends over. I have been to see my brother and nieces this morning and need to do a food shop a Tessie’s as all we seem to have to eat is chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate, I am craving normal food and normality.

Have a lovely day all :)

Round - your guag is lazing under a Christmas tree somewhere with mine! :rotfl:Just making another cuppa before I think about searching for it...

Do you think guag comes in two halves? I seem to have got half of mine back :rotfl: Grabbing hold of that half before it ran away to play with Fayolle's guag again I have taken a random roll of wrapping paper upstairs and put it in the Christmas drawer :D, got dressed in my scruffs - hypothesis being that I would then actually do some flying, brought laundry hamper down, sorted washing in to loads, set first load swishing, fed the birds, put out the recycling, answered the phone, arranged a meal out for DS's birthday on Monday, slurped a coffee and then the slippery little beggar eluded my grasp and has gone again.

I'm going to unload WM and drape contents on the airer / radiators, get changed, call and see Dad, meet L for coffee, call at Mr C00p on way home and that may be it today.

List getting shorter - still to do:
    - clean all through downstairs (I will ask DH to hoover)
    - leftovers soup for lunch
    - Rosie's walk
    - steam-mop kitchen, DR and utility floors
    - make up 2 beds
    - eat tea
    - collapse on sofa and wait for DD&Co (ETA about 8.00 pm)

DS2 has rung to say that he has got flu and can't come tomorrow, also DGS3 is running a temperature :( DS1 was ill when I rang him on Boxing Day, so I don't know how many we shall be tomorrow :(

    Hi again

We had a change of plan, neither of us felt up to furniture shopping after a long day yesterday. Postponed until tomorrow... so....

I hoovered kitchen and dining room and put various bits away
Bed stripped, bedding washed and put on airer and fresh linen on
Litter trays emptied, washed and refilled
Food shop done, managed to get a couple of YS things for the freezer
    Cat food shop done
Bought some reduced gifts sets in B***s, I know I will use these through the year so worth getting

While I was out DH hoovered and dusted bedroom, office and lounge plus the stairs. He also cleaned the bathroom. House looking more presentable now.

Lunch next, YS smoked salmon I think... yum

This afternoon will be one more load of washing and then the airers will be full, may pop out for a walk and then I think the sofa and my book will be calling me.

  • After a restless night, and being woken up at around 3 and 5am by noisy idiots, got woken up at 6 by the alarm going off for Himself. Dozed back off again.

    Then by his alarm.

Then by him actually getting up.

Then by him slamming the front door.

    Went back to sleep.

Woken up at just before 9am. Gas Safety check. Not prebooked. Not due for another six months. But genuine.

Gas Safe bloke then proceeded to flood the kitchen by dropping the bowl of water he'd just run to check the hot water.

He left very quickly after apologising profusely. And there's a clean kitchen floor now.

Ugh. It's too dark and miserable to want to do anything useful.

Only 2 things left to do:
    - eat tea (it's ready)
    - collapse on sofa and wait for DD&Co (ETA about 8.00 pm)

I am shattered :( but happy that everything's ready :)

I had breakfast in bed.. a chocolate orange and half a box of heroes... orange is a fruit right? lol

I bossed OH to make millions of cuppas.. and I have flung some toys form the girls room.. 3 huge boxes for CS and 5 binbags of rubbish.. It is still a bear pit. it is a slightly less gross bear pit but all their new stuff fits in. I need to rejiggle and fling some books but I WILL have a half decent bedroom before January is out.. it is my January mission to fling and make space in this hovel and I WILL buy the wallpaper for the hallway.. I am sick of looking at it.. one more thing out of the house CF did..

Kitchen is rebuilt after the 26th..

My bedroom is SOOOOOO empty now all the christmas shhhhhhhtuff is gone. I am flinging in there after the girls room is done so I can clear some landing into there so that can be painted.. I need someone to do that the walls after 22ft high in some parts... and I do not have extending arms. I will do the papering.. boring as it is I need to save some pennies.

I need to update this Toots list... I shall do that tonight I think.
