    Morning :santa2:

    Welcome aboard LeeLeeBee :D

Hugs to YL and family xx

I've helped load DS's car and he's driven off to pigpen-land for Christmas Day Mark 2 with GF and her parents. He'll be back on Sunday afternoon ready to celebrate his birthday (30th Dec) and New Year. Oh gosh, I haven't even thought about feeding anyone next week  Still resting on my laurels for remembering to buy bacon so DS could have a bacon butty this morning :T

I got up - love that this is on your to do list ionafan :D I'm washed and dressed. I've also made my bed, fed the birds, rinsed and recycled numerous cans, put out a redundant tv guide, recycled the packaging from DS's Advent calendars, and gathered up the wrapping paper that was hastily stashed in a not-to-be-thrown-out bag yesterday and binned it.

The scissors and sticky tape have been put away (so I'll know where they are the next time I need them :T)

    My plan for today:
take parrots - headache has come on in the past half hour
make and eat a fishfinger sandwich - because that is what I fancy and there's no-one else here to please :D
check when/ if the bin men will be coming this week
write a meal plan for next week
write a shopping list - I'll call at Mr C00p on my way home from work tomorrow
read / watch tv - a combination thereof
    relaxxxxxxx :D

    Hugs
    Rxx

Me again. Dailies are done, first of three wash loads is in the machine and I've had a walk round the park with the dogs. Physio also done. Just having left over buffet food for lunch. DH wants another roast tonight. There's enough leftovers for that too.
Spend less now, work less later.

I have just attacked the ironing. The pre-Christmas lack of a WM has had a knock-on effect so I'm going to put another load in. Got back late last night; DW went on then.
House is vile (seriously); bin gets collected tomorrow so I am going to tidy house and clean DR.

Gosh, how about this, two posts within one week!:rotfl:

Flyfriends, it's been a very fraught 18 months since DH's diagnosis. I haven't coped well with being thrown into the role of Carer; I panic easily, and any little thing that goes wrong I automatically berate myself for - e.g he didn't take his 17:00 tablets yesterday - he needed a wee, so I said "ok, then take your tablets, and then come and cut the vegetables" (I can't cut root veggies myself). He had the wee, forgot to take the tablets, and came straight into the kitchen to do the veg. When I found out - at 20:00 when I went to put he next day's tablets out ready - I was beating myself up because I should have double-checked that he'd taken them. We sorted it - he took the 17:00 tablets at 20:00, and delayed the final one he normally takes at 22:00 til midnight, then back on schedule today, but it shook me how easily it could all go pear-shaped. I also have bad brainfog, so struggle to remember things myself.

Anyways, that's a taste of the kind of !!!!!! I've been struggling with, adding in a long, bad lupus flare with a total and utter lack of so much as a salt spoon, and a Cerberus-sized Black Dog, complete with the three heads.

The plan is to try and get back on track come New Year; I have a whippet and a whippet/Border collie cross coming in on Sunday for a five-night stay; they've been before and are lovely, so they'll be fun; but of course the first three months of the year dog bookings are thin on the ground, which makes it harder on me; but basically I need to do better.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Wolfie I've been keeping an eye on this thread as I wonder how you are and think of you every time I light the candle each evening. I was sending love, light and strength your way on the Solstice.

I wish you could stop being so hard on yourself. You are doing more than enough to support Mr Wolf and do not need to do better. I hope the Lupus flare is settling and the furry guests will bring some brightness into your day. The time will pass and the bookings will increase .

I and I'm sure many others think you're doing a loving thing at the expense of your own wellbeing. I know it's useless asking you to be kinder to yourself so all I can offer is a few not so shiny spoons. It's not the best time of year but the sun will shine again .

Hugs atta distance. I have missed you.

It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

There but for fortune go you and I.

  • Evening! I hope everyone's Christmas Days went well.

    Happy Birthday pigpen xx

I also got up today! And then went to see The Rise of Skywalker with Mum (who slept through some of it - oh well!).

She is getting noticeable more forgetful / anxious but, finally, people who can do something are realising she needs more help and the wheels are in motion. How long it will take is anybody's guess but at least I am being listened to :D It seems sobbing on the phone to the mental health team helps :o

LW - it's lovely to see you posting xx Sending ratty and piggy hugs to you with lots of piggy wheek wheeks too (they are currently shouting at me for food despite the fact I can clearly see a carrot in the cage!!

Flying wise I have sorted bin bag and recycling ready to put out in the morning but not much else.

Oooh, more cake for pigpen :bdaycake: Many Happy Returns!

LameWolf, spoons are on their way to you (not silver, unfortunately - but wood is good and steel is bright) xx

I made just half a load of washing in 3 days, DH made three-and-a-half  - and I'm the one that goes out for muddy walks with Rosie!

Made lots of progress this evening with a friend's family tree, so I'll have lots to tell her when we go out for lunch tomorrow :D I'm now bleary-eyed from squinting at census returns, so am taking myself off to bed. Bye!
