I'm having a dilemma about renewing Small's DLA claim, as although his heart condition remains the same, he is now able to control his reactions to situations that have previously caused it to stop. He might find that during puberty he has more of a problem with it, but TBH I feel guilty to claim money for a condition that at the moment seems stable. I'd also lose my Carer's allowance but I can make that up with my dog boarding, but we would be about £250 down a month from March if I don't renew the claim...opinions welcome
They usually have an assessment now anyway and more often than not it is refused.. tbh I would apply.. they discuss claims with medical people working with them so it is isn't all about what you put on the form the drs have to confirm they consider them having an addition need. If they require any intervention, care or support over and above their peers then claim, the worst they can say is no.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Cooked breakfast enjoyed before mum and BIL set off home.
WM dragged in and 2 loads done, including guest bedding.
Visited MIL who was pretty quiet, still on drip but ok.
Got a couple of things from Mr S but no amazing bargains.
Rang a friend who'd had a difficult Christmas.
Filled bird feeders.
Rest of the day slobbed out catching up on recorded TV. More friends visiting tomorrow afternoon, A has finished chemo and is delighted to have made it to Christmas; we of course are thrilled too.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Managed the list from yesterday!
No flying today, as I'm off to visit mum, though the WM is on a timer ready for when I get home later.
Dizzy Imp if he's entitled to it, claim it. The situation might change, and you'll have another stressful thing on top of attending to him. Like PigPen says it might need to go through assessment anyway.0 -
Morning all
We had a lovely day out yesterday visiting family. Plan for today is to do the small food shop as it was too late on the way home last night. We are also going furniture shopping, it’s only a few weeks now until the en suite will be done and we want to get everything lined up so that we can move back in to the master bedroom as soon as possible afterwards. So we need to coordinate bathroom, then carpet fitting, then furniture delivery!!
Flying wise, the house not looking too bad (probably not visitor ready though... good job we’re not having any lol!) the washing pile is getting out of control! I am going to swish a load now then fling on airers before we go out. Depending on what time we get back flying might happen later.
Have a good day. Hugs available for those in need x0 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
Another day on my own until going to a party tonight. I plan to do dailies, physio and general exercise, dog walks, dog baths and anything else I can manage.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

DD&Co land this eveningso today's jobs include
-[STRIKE] strip my bed[/STRIKE]
- drink my cuppa in peace as I catch up with Flyladies, FB, news and finances
- sort and clear all the family history papers (my friend's family, who are mostly giving me much fun and sometimes causing me a bit of frustration: I've traced most lines back to the mid 1880s) from the study bedroom
- FUPA clean washing
- strip DH's bed, once he is up and making breakfast
- eat breakfast, shower and dress
- WMx3 (all bedding)
- clean all through the house - it's already tidyso this shouldn't take long
- move chair and get out trundle bed in study
- leftovers soup for lunch
- Rosie's walk - she only had a short one yesterday, so will be raring to go
- steam-mop kitchen, DR and utility floors after R has left her muddy footprints
- make up all beds
- move my stuff downstairs for a couple of nights
- cook tea
- collapse on sofa and wait for DD&Co (ETA about 8.00 pm)
Right, cuppa has now been drunk, so I must start flying!

Good morning ladies
I’m back to sitting down as Iona’s list has worn me out
Lovely family evening out at the local alternative panto. Today’s list is work in progress.... dw is running, I need to sort out some washing, HHI to do...
DH is going to paint the spare room door. This is the most lovingly tended new door in the entire world. If I had done it myself, it would have been back on its hinges weeks ago. But I haven’t, so it isn’t. It’s keeping him busy instead of doing all the other jobs which he knows that I have lined up for him...0 -
Morning :santa2:
Wow, that one day at work yesterday has worn me out! Feeling bleugh this morning couldn't possibly have anything to do with the tonne of carp that I've [STRIKE]inhaled[/STRIKE] nibbled over the past few days, now could it?
I actually managed to lie in bed until nearly nine - despite my car alarm going off at 7.05 am  I expect the glove box dropped open and set it off
I've got up, made my bed, opened windows upstairs, devoured tea and toast, agreed to meet L for a coffee this afternoon, deleted a few emails, caught up with fb and this thread, oh, and I might have bought myself a posh notebook
(It was BOGOF - they had me at the GOF
having resisted the temptation for months.)
Note to self: you have to actually use the notebooks to benefit from the organisational tools therein
I really ought to do something..... anyone seen my guag? It appears to have disappeared overnight.

Round - your guag is lazing under a Christmas tree somewhere with mine! :rotfl:Just making another cuppa before I think about searching for it...
I might sort out the spice drawer next - fed up with it falling out every time that I open it.0
