Managed to do everything I intended plus made some soup and spent 25 minutes sorting the greenhouse.
Just back from a lovely evening out and about to go to bed. Not sure what time I'll get up tomorrow, oh today!, may depend on the dogs.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
As usual it's tomorrow by the time I get round to posting.
Quite a social day today but a lot of flying to get house sorted for overnight guests.
Visited hospital, MIL not too bright today.
Went to L1dl, lots of food 30% off so freezer now full.
Another friend visited.
Cake made while Mr N preparing guest room and bathroom.
Lounge tidied, dining room table laid.
Dinner cooked.
Good evening, more calories and cooked breakfast planned. Oh dear.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Morning all
Postponed day looking for furniture happening today... not particularly looking forward to it but have to keep in mind that I want the room finished and looking nice. I’ve done my dailies and put the WM on to swish ( the laundry mountain is slowly diminishing) that can go on the airer before we go out. Next load already lined up to be done later on.
Have a good day all. X0 -
Morning all. Just having first cuppa of the day.
On my own again today so will be a repeat of yesterday.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning
I got up and made my bed. Cuppa drunk and WM has just finished swishing so I need to do a laundry shuffle to make room on the airer.
I suppose I ought to get dressed too
Fayolle - have you worked out whose Christmas tree our guag is hiding under? Or has yours come home?Mine was probably ready to come home but then I spent half the night trying to work out if today was going to be Sunday :j or Monday
. Having already had a Monday on Friday - all very confusing :rotfl: ( Especially for my work colleague who knew it was Friday - but I'd turned booking in sheets over to Monday because I thought it was :rotfl:)
Have a good day - whatever day it is

Hi friends
I hope everyone had a nice Yule. Big hugs to you YL xx
I am glad it's over. We have now come away for a few days. Some of you may recall a while ago I was unsure if there was a future for DH and I. Things were a bit better for a while but I've come to the realisation I am happier and less stressed when he isn't here. The festive period has highlighted his dependence on alcohol and other things to manage social situations, he is still in bed with a hangover now.
He wouldn't ever leave as he has no one else waiting in the wings and I make his life too easy. He would plod with me forever. I however am bored and would rather be alone. How do I find the words and the bravery friends?0 -
Laundry shuffled
WM load 1 now on airer
WM load 2 now swishing
washed and dressed
birds fed
recycling out
bowl of pots soaking
11.30 ish DS's dad will come for coffee
12.30 ish lunch with my dad
some time this afternoon ish DS and GF coming home and staying 'til January 2nd (ish)
Must do today: phone the village pub and book a table for tomorrow evening (fingers crossed) - DS's birthday meal.
Going to do next: WUDUPA that bowl of pots.

ETA: hugs asb xx There are wiser women on here than me to answer your question - take care xxIT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme0 -
ASB (hugs). Realising you'd be better without a person in your life is hard. Speaking from the other side though - yes, there are times when being 'the one in sole charge' is hard...but, for me these are more than cancelled out bu the fact I don't have to answer to anyone or explain myself or even do things I don't particularly want to do (like housework - really!). My real life friends and my online friends have been a great support through the hard times. The worst time was my sister's long illness and death. But at no time have I ever regretted that I've flown solo.
Maybe you're no longer prepared to put up with being second fiddle to alcohol? I'm presuming you have already 'issued the ultimatum'? If not - well I was going to do that - then I realised even if he DID change I still didn't want him in my life. I rather think you might be at that stage. So basically you're no longer prepared to support him/carry him/put up with certain of his habits and you want to separate. There's no easy way to say it, unfortunately.
(I don't know that I'm wiser (ref Roundtuit) but been there, done that, got the Decrees Absolute. Yes - two.)
I'm here if you want to vent. If/when you do decide to make it official I will offer suggestions at that time if you wish. In the interim make sure you know (and have a paper trail if possible) about bank accounts/debts/mortgage/pension/savings. And save bank statements. Hi everyone, woke up with a headache which hasn’t really gone away all day so haven’t felt like doing much but have managed to unload dishwasher, load WM x 2, wiped down kitchen sides, sloshed bleach around the loo, put out some recycling and vacuumed upstairs and down.
Lamb chops tonight, yum 😋, have good evenings all xx0
