Belated happy birthday pigpen and greetings to all.
We've had a reasonable couple of days despite Mr N and BIL zipping off to visit MILin hospital on Christmas day after church, and again today. She's got pneumonia and is very cross with them for not taking her home - wherever that is - she punched BIL and told them to shove off if they weren't taking her home. She's likely to be in hospital for a few days more.

While the boys were visiting, mum washed up and I vacuumed the downstairs.
    Filled bird feeders.
More socialising this afternoon as my brother came round. More cooking, eating too much and washing up.
Need to get up early tomorrow (today!) and organise cooked breakfast to set mum and BIL off on their journey home.

Hugs, sticks and spoons for all.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

    Morning all

Visiting family today, will be hitting the road in about an hour so need to shift... cuppa slurped, will fling myself in the shower next. I made a little shopping list of what we need for next weeks menu last night so if we’re not too pooped may pop to supermarket on way home this evening.

No flying for me today, have a good day all. Hugs etc available for those in need xx
  • Morning everyone,

Paid stuff for me today, hopefully only till lunchtime as we are having a bit of a gathering later and need to do some flying, there are little stars everywhere that I sprinkled on the table Christmas Day. I have managed to unload DW and put on WM, must go now as am going to be late. Catch you all later, have a good day.

  • Good Morning, all.
WM was on yesterday, so that's all ironed and put away. Vacuumed the bedroom and did some spot cleaning of some marks from moving in.
The kitchen was S&S yesterday too.

    Today:
    - Create a Meal plan for next week
    - Make the shopping list for the said meal plan.
    - vacuum/tidy the middle of the house; as was on hold due to a delivery which isn't coming until Monday.
    - Do some financial budgeting ready for next year and clear down paperwork.

    Have a good day, everyone.

    Afternoon all.

Lovely to see you back again, Wolfie.

Thoughts out to YL and your DS.

It’s been a day of errands so far - dr for me, hairdresser for DD, bedroom dusted and vacc’d (dust made way for the pile of cs books from DSis which should see me through the next few months). We are off to the local panto later, so I hope that my head gets itself into a better place before then.

Hugs, sticks and spoons for anyone to help themselves.

TY for burpday greetings xx.. It was, as always, manic.

We had a baby announcement, the heating element went pop in my dishwasher, I got a unicorn balloon and my house is a state of utter carnage this morning.

I have a kitten with a poorly tummy today so goodness knows what that silly thing has eaten.. could actually be ANYTHING!

Milk intolerant grandbeast was fed chocolate and quavers by Pixie and himself. So her has a wibbly tummy and a LOT of screaming today.

Twinkle was up earlier and has been snoring in my bed since 9:30.. I think she was a bit tired lol.

I have the task of returning left behind presents to their owners today.. my life is such fun!

Christmas shopping started for next year.. and I have decided that I am not buying for my sister next year.. I have enough with my 12 and the grandbeasts and they haven't bought for me ever so why should I spend time and effort and money .. mainly time.. when they can't be bothered.

I need to rejig my Toots list this week and see how much I need to save for job 1.. and budget in holiday payments and save for Dots ADHD assessment.. she can't wait 2 years for CAMHS so I need to sort that. 8 more loan payments to make.. :D

    Hello ladies

Just been to drop DH in to Shrewsbury for him to have a few drinks with mates from work. If he rings me for a lift back at a reasonable time, I'll pop back in to collect him, otherwise he will have to get a taxi. I'm out tomorrow evening with the Football Tea Ladies and we have already sorted transport home :j

Been pottering around today, bit of washing and ironing, sorting and putting rubbish and recycling out for collection. I'm rather smug as this year I got it all in the bins. My concentrated efforts at becoming plastic-free seems to be having an effect!

I've decided to be even more eco-friendly next year, so will be getting crafty, creative and improving my cooking skills, which I hope will also save us some money.

I'm having a dilemma about renewing Small's DLA claim, as although his heart condition remains the same, he is now able to control his reactions to situations that have previously caused it to stop. He might find that during puberty he has more of a problem with it, but TBH I feel guilty to claim money for a condition that at the moment seems stable. I'd also lose my Carer's allowance but I can make that up with my dog boarding, but we would be about £250 down a month from March if I don't renew the claim...opinions welcome

Yesterday I blitzed the downstairs wetroom and it now looks lovely! I've moved some ornaments into the room from other places around the house and it's made a real difference. 2020 will be the year I get my house sorted! January will see me concentrating on the Dining room to ensure all snagging items are dealt with and the room becomes totally finished. February will have another room become my focus and so on, until I'm done, which might be the winter of 2026 :rotfl:

Just having a cuppa (might have a snooze too) then more sorting...and bed changing!
