I registered my machine literally on the day after the recall was announced, and have heard very little from Hotpoint, telephoned on 10th January to say I have a 2 year old and was without a machione, told I would be priority. Received an email a couple of days ago offering us the graphite machine other people have received, but my machine is black and matchs all my other appliances. Hotpoint are telling to keep checking to see if the black one comes in stock!! Has anyone else received a black washing machine or am I entitled to like for like? I have already waited over 2 months without a machine, will it be worth waiting longer for a black one?0

I selected this particular machine when our Ultima model packed up, we have always gone for Hotpoint machines which up to now have been very good, this NSWM743UGG however is cheap rubbish, it is a noisy machine with a loud pump and spin cycle, all the wash progs are much too long, selecting rapid wash knocks off time but washing is still wet when program finishes, why would I want to put steam in my washer...strange, there is water slopping in the door rubber seal after every wash that needs mopping out, badly designed drain holes, good points are limited [1] cheap. [2] no more door opening delay at end of wash. I would not recommend this m/c to anyone0
