Wow - thank you Mrs SD, first Gold Star I've had in about 60 years lol!
I've spent the morning decanting the small garage freezer into the new one so I can defrost the small one. Thrown away a pack of very elderly dehydrated muffins but that was all. When ithe garage one is defrosted it can be cleaned and the stuff put back and the old one in the utility that the new one has replaced can be decanted and the old one put on FB (keep up at the back there!)
Ive put some jam jars and a kitchen cupboard on Freecycle but no takers yetSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle8 -
help, it has been a while! Let me see...
716-721: life maintenance including a fresh install on the computer and persuading solicitors to make a move on Mum's estate.
722-727: paper and mixed materials recycling out once a week.
728: DVD to the charity shop pile
729-739: A stack of postcards that I can't be bothered to count to the charity shop pile.
740: canvas bag binned
741-750: oddments escorted from the fridge before they went feral. (Still overbuying and not checking dates.
750-760: virtual tidying of recordings, email deletion, document deletion...
761: digital scales need replacing...
Hope all are well...

Hi de-clutterers!
Slow and steady is the work ethic here at the minute - although I'm actually getting loads done so I'm happy!
175: old toothbrush
176-179 CD roms (this de-clutter is long overdue!)
180: hair dye
181:Board game
182: dead bag
183: pack of maternity mattress protector things (my youngest has now started school)
184: baggy pants
185: holy socks
186: similarly religious car window shade
I think there were other things but I don't always remember to write them down.

Mrs_Salad_Dodger said:Happy_Kitties, the only problem with decluttering someone else’s house is that what we think of as clutter may not be to the other person 😱 so getting decisions is even more wearying than the actual decluttering 😱 Hope your DM is recovering well & that you manage to find a good nursing home for her. Keep up the excellent work with your neutral items Happy_Kitties 😇
Nice to see you silvasava👋 Enjoy your new fridge freezer 🙂 What a brilliant idea for the receipts, guarantees & manuals - so good that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️BE KIND. STAY SAFE. BREAK THE CHAIN. SAVE LIVES.MrsSD ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🏅1617/2020

Haven't posted since middle of June but have continued to read the thread. Thank you to everyone posting - your posts have helped to keep me focussed despite very slow progress. Recently I became stuck and it ended by me putting all the paperwork randomly into boxes. Now taking out items one at a time and sorting them in the order they come out of the box. Having it all lying around had finally overwhelmed me. Living with chronic fatigue and no home help since before lockdown also took its toll - have been supporting friends and family both with internet shopping and phone calls throughout this time and I just had nothing left in the tank which lead to completely grinding to a halt a couple of weeks ago. Now feeling much better although still supporting others. I know I need to take a step back from them but with winter coming and knowing that none of them winter well in normal circumstances, I am not sure how to do this. Have starting putting a plan together with someone else for one of them but it won't solve the problem fully.
Anyway, back to decluttering:-
44 items paperwork
23 other items

😔 didn’t post yesterday 😔 Thursday was another lovely Indian summer day. All 3 of us had baths - can’t do with being smelly for the dentist 😉DH left first to take the route with minimum stairs, DSis & I left about 40 minutes later. Excellent safety system at the dentist - it is an old fashioned dental practice in a house. The door is locked, you ring the bell, as one person leaves the next person goes in, (the waiting room is not used nor is the cloakroom); coat/bag etc is left in the waiting room, table set up with a small amount of mouth wash, nurse takes temperature (wave over the forehead), gel to wash hands & then gloves put on. Then go through to treatment room where nurse & dentist wear face masks & visors. DH went first - 2 fillings & a clean £62.50; DSis next just a check up & clean £22.70; lastly me - filling in an incisor 😱 & clean £62.50. A painless experience except for the bill. Only problem would be waiting outside in the rain. Rather than going straight home we stopped off at the pub & had a couple of drinks sat outside. Dinner was fish or chicken & chips - delivered half hour late 🙁 but still hot & quite tasty.Friday has dawned bright, sunny & warm - another lovely day. First wash load done & on whirligig - wonderfully warm breeze should see everything dried in no time. 2nd load in wm, now done & on whirligig. DH has just finished the last of the hm soup with half of the rock hard hm bread 😉 prior to departing for his lung health check & then sm.1622 - 1625 Kitchen recycling, 2 newspapers, drinks cans - Recycled

Ooh Nicnak - new radiators 🥳 We still have the original radiators when the house was built - cheap & ugly 🙁 You are going to be busy this weekend & you will smell very nice 😆 as will your DD
You are very welcome silvasava 🙂 I did manage to keep up with the freezer shenanigans 😉 Don’t worry about the jam jars & cupboard, I am sure they will go soon 🤞
Nice to see you short_bird 👋 You have been busy 👏 Do the digital scales need replacing or just a new battery? Might save you a bit of money if it is just the battery 🙂
Great work VickyV 👏
Great work Happy_Kitties 👏 A normal spare room 🥳
Lovely to see you back oceanspirit 👋🙂 Sorry that life has taken its toll on you 🙁 but well done on recharging your batteries a little. Now you just have to keep them charged & pamper yourself a little. Helping others is obviously very important to you but you really must take care of yourself. Is there anyone you can ask for a little assistance?
Sorry 😐 I hope you don’t think I am being intrusive.Anyway, on to nicer things you have gone through the 500 barrier 👏 & have earned a Gold Star ⭐️BE KIND. STAY SAFE. BREAK THE CHAIN.
