2020 - banish the clutter

Bookshelf getting yet another cull today, I really have too many cookery books and most of them only have one or two recipes I use so I'll write them in my notebook and let the Hedgehog Rescue have another donation. The deforested area is narrow corridor between the house and the fence and is concreted over underfoot but we've used all the flower borders this year to grow veg and are currently getting enough French beans for a veg portion for the two of us every other day and cut and come again lettuces that have fed us for weeks and will be something we'll grow regularly in future. Herbs too and tomatoes growing on and yesterday I harvested all the nasturtium seeds from the hanging basket and they've been in brine overnight to make 'mock capers' today which are surprisingly tasty and nice in home made Tartare sauce. Recycling is collected here every week and we've put out tins, cardboard, paper, but not glass, the jars are too valuable at this preserving time of year to part with.10

Sold a couple more items, £40 for the pot! Going to the shop later to stock up. Binned a broken trug bucket thing. Half a dozen bits on Freecycle, 3 claimed already. Chaz here is open but not accepting donations.Magnolia Stellata11

3 lots of foam from an old chair kept for justin by DH (
) binned from the shed as it had been chewed. Seems the mice are trying to move in again, wouldn't mind but they never pay their rent
Stay safe and happy decluttering. Hugs to anyone poorly or struggling.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
Have had a great trip out, got all the shopping I need in small Tesco then went to the country park where the coffee stall was open so I had my first coffee "out " for 4 months sitting in the fresh air. Off home now to pack away the groceries, I feel like a prepper now with all this! Won't need to go shopping again for a long while.Magnolia Stellata10

You have my permission to bin them. Yes, straight in the bin, not to the recycling.
I have to be honest, not knowing how to recycle the bottles without making a horrible mess emptying the blasted stuff was one of the barriers. Un-eco-friendly bin it is then with the buck firmly passed in your direction. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.9 -

2 more bags to the CS today and this time they have actually made it to the shop and DH's car boot is now finally empty from the lockdown backlog. It is almost all clothes that the littles have grown out of over the lockdown, all three seem to be having a growth spurt at the same time. DH has managed to get to Primark to replace some basic bits but I might have to venture in to town myself but that will have to wait until I stop shielding at the beginning of August. I've been to post office a couple of times with eBay parcels but having risked anything more.2025 Decluttering Campaign Mrs SD –The joy of decluttering 204/104(312)💐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
