Saturday has been another dreary day but no rain to speak of. DH was up in time to pay the milkman 👏 DSis went to Asd* - apparently it was mayhem - no masks, no social distancing & no following the arrows 😡 A thoroughly unpleasant experience 🙁 but she did manage to find a couple of small bottles of L&P Worcestershire sauce 👏👏🥳
DH was in his office sorting paperwork - 2” of shredding. TV, AB2 & knitting for me.Dinner was oven chips, fried eggs, baked beans with hotdog sausages added.1188 - 1198 Newspaper, kitchen recycling, 5 plastic lids, plastic pot, 2 glass jars, drinks cans - Recycled

I need to ring a local cs and ask if they are accepting donations. Then the pile of 'stuff' that's been put to one side can begin to leave the building.
The thought of going in to town is not pleasant, but I can surely manage a weekly cs bag drop off. (Think of the space, Round, think of all that clear space that you will gain.)

Hi all. I have been back to the CS this week.
Each day we have been getting offers of more bags than we can take. the first day was 75 bags, one person bought 22. I was on the till and we had a system so I didn't touch anything but cash. Most people were ok but there were a few hiccoughs as the till's touch screen doesn't like gloved hands.
Yesterday I was outside limiting people entry to three customers which was all ok. Some people decided not to wait but were ok.
I did have a disagreement with a woman who wanted to drop off donations which she had carried in by hand. I had been told not to accept any more because of the need to quarantine donations for three days. We had reached our days limit by lunchtime. The woman got angry, shouted at me, dumped them and ran off. Not pleasant. I felt bad about refusing too but there is only so much space. I could have had at least another van full of donations in the afternoon. Top tips are to drop off your bags early in the day and not take loads. Be prepared for refusal.
Today we got rid of 100 Scifi mags with holders which were on the shelves for years. Someone actually paid money for them too. I am counting as 2 bags. Current total now 33/52 bags and 8 large items.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. I have just decluttered a carrot, a shortie biscuit, a small piece of cake and a daisy (not intentional that one) into the grandchild, 2 cafetieres of coffee and slices of cake into the parents and half a box of baby clothes that's been in the bottom of the spare room wardrobe, a pair of size 5 crocs and a pair of size 5 wellingtons because baby is growing visibly and is almost walking, in fact baby stood up from sitting in front of us for the first time today, promptly sat down again with a flump but we're on our way! out with the stair gates and up with anything reachable!10

I dropped 23 books off at the shop. Hopefully they'll get their ok and they'll pay soon!
