ailz95 said:Thanks for that Newlywed. Perhaps we'll re-think. DH feels best when he's among the downs and I love the sea. We're both a bit nervous of going far, being carers for a 98 year old.

working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?8 -
Don't worry Newlywed - we decided it was probably a bit far - we're going to St. Leonard's - it's usually fairly empty even in high summer. It's not much of a holiday resort - very residential and no 'fun' shops like Hastings.
Thanks for my gold star Mrs. SD - my first - I don't think I got many at school - if any.Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright9 -
Only one item binned today, a birds custard jug. It had gone from the house to the garden as it was missing it's handle, but it is now time to get rid ! Shame on me as I only kept it for sentimental reasons, it belonged to my late Aunt who passed away in1995
Note to self ......must try harder !
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -
Not much today. It's hard with the chazzers not being open.
I binned some OOD things from the kitchen. I also cut some old tea towels/ hand towels up to use to clean the floor as I bought new ones. I gave some stale food like crackers to the birds while I was out.8 -
Burst of activity over the last few days DH shortened a tall bookshelf to midi height hopefully with less space there will be less clutter.

You are correct TC77- you do have 4 Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. I have a list of when to award Gold Stars + there are discretionary Gold Stars awarded when I am impressed with someone’s efforts 😉 You have earned 2 in each category 👏 How very lovely of your neighbour 😇 to share her flowers.
Excellent attitude newlywed - you are really embracing the Marie Kondo method of decluttering 👏
ailz95, you now have FIVE Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ - 39/52 bags & over 1000 items. You have been working very hard at your decluttering & have earned every single one 👏
Nannywindow, shame about the custard jug but at least you got real value from it - very MSE 👏
Well done Wednesday2000 👏 I am using the fact that the chazzers are shut to be lazy - no scrub that, I don’t actually need an excuse 🤣
Great work Marpau 👏 and as you have hit the 500+ items out, a Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way to you 🙂
Is anyone else confused about the Be Alert message? Fine for visible things like packages left unattended, but an invisible virus 🤔 I think I will revert to Jacinda’s message -
BE KIND. STAY SAFE. BREAK THE CHAIN. SAVE LIVES.

I am in agreement with that message Mrs SD.
BE KIND. STAY SAFE. BREAK THE CHAIN. SAVE LIVES
That should be the govenrnment strapline. Thankyou Jacinda.
Popping in to report the return of some lavender. I share a greenhouse with a friend at the allotments and last year she sort of lost enthusiasm but had some some lavender. I bought the seelings home and potted on as many as I could and the survivors have been returned. She is very happy with this as she has struggled to maintain her bits in my greenhouse. I usually do the watering. I also gave a way a half tray of green beans to my neighbour at the allotments. I am calling it two bags for ease.

Morning all.
Haven't posted for a whole month again. Finding life in lockdown busy with keeping an eye on friends and family from home ie getting their sm delivery slots organised and keeping in touch for MH support.
Some decluttering has taken place:-
7 items uu or binned
1 to CS bag
4 items paperwork shredded or recycled
32 old emails deleted
Have changed the way I do my to do lists as they were getting out of control. Old daily lists had lots of things crossed off and others still on and were piling up, so what I've done is taken a notebook (from my huge stash) and headed pages with categories (inspired by Marie Kondo's tidying up method) then transferred things off the daily lists into categories. I can then prioritise what needs to be done first for each category rather than just randomly doing what I've spotted needs doing and just bunged it onto the daily list. I still have more lists to transfer onto the new system. Will report back as to how I get on with it all. Am fed up with feeling overwhelmed by the amount on the lists and hope this will make it easier to tackle.
Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅9 -
Very little done. I thought without travelling to work and confined to home I would be transforming my home or at least doing more than I am. A late walk and now TV.
Dropped off 2 return parcels , 1005-1006
1007-1008 2 parcels for dd1 dropped off
1009 washing basket given away
1100 glass broken
Hope everyone doing ok. Still no flour in our shops8 -
