Newlywed - I know about keeping things for best and wearing/using things that I'm not so keen on. Trying to change that myself.Trying to sort small front garden out. Had slate chippings over fabric to keep down the weeds. Realised fabric not extensive and lots of weeks. taking off the chippings - keeping big ones so a very labour intensive - but seeing it as therapeutic.987 - 989 - 2 bags weeds and small chippings990 - 992 3 things back to M&S - notice the clothes section had opened (bought pre lock down)993 - 995 crockery to DD1 also gave her plates from CS bag so can't count thosePhoto sorting - trying to sort by years (decades to sort) 996 - 999 - about half a dozen binned1000 - 1001 - 2 plants re-potted and put outside. can't believe I got to this amount....Hope everyone has a good and safe week. X9

3 bags to go to the charity shop when they open again, they are currently living in the back of DH's car.
Sorted through some of our big dining room cupboards and whilst some went to the charity pile, managed to sort out quite a bit for eBay and de-cluttered 5 bottles of red wine to our neighours as I can't manage a red wine hangover anymore ! We've received 5 sunflower and 6 tomato plants in return, which seems like a wholly fair trade to me :-)
Nicnac, pleased to hear your have sorted out your chocolate emergency, we haven't managed to get a grocery delivery every week and I keep running out of chocolate hobnobs and Jaffa Cakes, who knew that three packets only lasts 5 days !!
Stay safe everyone xx

Not posted for a while - nothing happening here. We've decided that tomorrow - our day out - we're going to venture further afield and go to the Birling Gap. It should be quiet there, hubby can walk, and I can sit in - or out - of the car and look at the sea, both of us social distancing. One of DHs friend on Live Journal was there this weekend and it seems to be open.
Mrs SD do you watch the Talking Pictures channel for your old movies. MIL has it on a lot - well DH puts it on - some of the movies and series are really good and some of them are terrible, but good fun looking for the bit part actors who have since become big. They're mainly British movies with the odd American one in there. There was a series of detective stories with Boris Karloff in the lead - that was fun.

Afternoon everyone, can't find my last post, so essentially starting again!
Our tip reopened last week, so I'll be able to start going there with actual rubbish, but not to the CS yet. I've still been going shopping, but also eating out of the cupboards and freezers, so reducing some of the real excess there, whilst still having a decent store left.
Hubby took 6 bags of garden rubbish to the tip on Saturday, plus a big pile of prunings.
We've been decluttering LOTS of home baking, and DH and I got shut of a half bottle of fizz last night!!

@ailz95 our newspaper says Birling Gap was the busiest ever today and that people had to park on the grass...
Finally started reading my 333 book and:
4 skirts
1 Blazer
1 blouse
2 tops
2 jumpers
2 pairs of boots
1 pair of shoes
1 pair of sandals
3 belts
2 casual rain jackets
all bagged up in the hopes that charity shops will want donations!
(and my wardrobe still looks just as full)

Thanks for that Newlywed. Perhaps we'll re-think. DH feels best when he's among the downs and I love the sea. We're both a bit nervous of going far, being carers for a 98 year old.Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright8

Monday has been a gloriously warm & sunny day 🎉 DH went off on his motorbike at about 8:30 a.m. to do his Round Britain Rallying. Obviously had his flask & cans & food with him - ostensibly a picnic if he was stopped 😂 I had hm soup & hm focaccia for lunch. DH arrived home about 3:30 p.m. I spent the day in the sun reading - out of order though - thought I was reading book 2 in the Shipyard Girls series but actually book 4 😒Just looked up the correct order, read the last few pages of book 1 & will start book 2 tonight. The cleaning, decluttering, gardening etc can go hang 🤣

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger nah, one is too small and the other I have an ever increasing dislike for. So next payday I have given myself permission to purchase one I do like (second hand of course) so will be browsing a certain website instead.I have disposed of a lot of the things that irritate me now - uncomfortable undies and painful shoes. Life is too short! I would rather have less stuff that is nicer.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?7
