Realise I have some empty and part empty shelves but still piles on the floor and trying to work out how to organise so easy to keep organised. Still far too many things - 2 paper bins (full) emptied to recycling.810 - 814, paper declutter, jumper, jewellery in CS bag and item to textile recycling.can't find my headphones I use for my daily walk so clearly lots more to do and after work today will try and find. Lovely sunshine so will hopefully plant strawberry plants at lunchtime.10

About China, I have a pretty ugly mismatched cupboard full of studenty mugs etc, and a beautiful if dated full set of fine bone China packed away in the loft in boxes. Thanks to someone upthread the lightbulb has gone on, and while eating my breakfast I'm clearing out that cupboard to make space for the pretty stuff. The old things can go into a box in the lean to ready for when the chaz opens again.
otherwise I squeezed a load of polystyrene packaging into the bin, and added a couple more old towels to the textile recycling bag. My lean to looks like a tip now. Am struggling a bit on lockdown on my own but trying to keep the decluttering mindset does help.Magnolia Stellata12 -
@nannywindow Have you tried either selling your books or leaving them outside your house with a 'free/help yourself' sign?
I have a dead ice maker, old SC (the glaze has gone on the bowl and it looked dodgy, and I can't get a replacement) and dead toaster to go to the tip at some point. I'm slowly sorting through my clothes and being ruthless about getting rid of the tatty stuff, anything with stains/holes etc. Knickers are being binned, but the rest turned into rags. Stuff that is in good condition but either doesn't fit or doesn't suit me is being put to one side to review once lockdown is over.10 -
50 neutral items now sent off to charity organiser.(got that wrong TOTAL=57 items so far)
However can add two of the above to my main total as they werent things specifically bought and stored for charity just items i had floating around in my present box with nowhere to go!
Generally
91-92 two items from present box sent off to charity
93 diary into recycling (can't see this being used this year)
94 packaging (some used, some recycled. Cupboard now looks less messy!)Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

15/52 - another slow week or 2, just a drawer cleared out, some items binned and a hotel freebie found in the drawer used up.11

294. Improvised Standing desk using a shelf, a box and an ironing board- if it works out I will treat myself to one - in the meaning this will do!
295. Designed and delivered a webinar !! (pleased with myself as this is a new thing for me and it went well)

Decluttered:
some weeds from the garden
a fair quantity of dust from the bottom of my wardrobe
a small carrier bag of “why on earth is that in here” things
reassigned a plastic basket from bottom of the wardrobe for my home made cosmetics stuff (oils, Shea butter, beeswax, flaxseed etc)
also reassigned a fairly large plastic tub to hold my stash of goodies (mostly biscuits, crisps and chocolate) so that they aren’t so visible when I open my wardrobe and then hopefully will be easier to ration
A lovely eBay denim skirt arrived. So no more eBay shopping needed now (after all, who needs shoes for anything?) And I might have accidentally ordered some more things to add to my craft cabinet... hope to immediately use them when they arrive though!
have also realised I have too many bags (as the tub used to contain them... and they won’t all fit in the other tub....) so that is on my list.
And I worked 7 hours from home too!
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?9 -
One perk of being confined to my house while working - I am finally decluttering my candle stash! I love buying new scents, but generally forget to burn them , or remember at 9 at night which is no good. So I'm over halfway through my stash and anticipate it should be mostly clear by the time we are out
Also chucked a load of shoes boxes which were being used to store random stuff which has now been sorted through, although mostly all kept.
Right now I'm just celebrating the small wins!13 -
